I would love some help with a story of mine, "Battle Field to Crib". So many people, including myself think that story title is well, lame. So, I would like some suggestions on a new name.
I think I am going to greatly extend this story to 2 or 20 chapters, and if I decide to try my luck selling anything on Amazon or where ever, it will likely be this story, after I publish it here. I like the sweet, gentle story line.
After having squeezed out "Katia in Afghanistan", I think my bile is drained. Stories I write are usually a pretty good indication about where I am personally, and I really felt it happening to me in Katia.

My first thought is "War Baby". "Private Child" is the next thing out of my demented mind.

I would suggest-
"War Child" which is a mix of Wren's. Another that might work is "Thunder's Child" making a play on the thunder of cannons meaning war. (Name of steam ram from HG's War of the Worlds) "Silent Death" is from a space war game, but in space no one can hear you scream. "Dark Silence" maybe or "Silent Thunder"?

Title
If you want to keep the military reference, I'd go with something like "Transferred to Infantry."
But I think a better name would be "Where Do Babies Come From?"

I just reread your above story. I'm uncertain as to why other commentors use the singular "Child" , etc. There are 2 Reptilians changed into Humyn-Plus babies.
I thought of: A New Hope (same as Star Wars); Hope for Humanity; Saviors of the Galaxy (sort of telegraphs the ending....); Aliens to Children. I guess that's it for now. I'll PM you if I think of others.

I would use "Third Rock From The Sun", but someone has taken it, thus demonstrating their selfish ownership of the term with a copyright. :( Hmmmm, perhaps, "Dangerous Alien Babies"? Of course as demonstrated in the story, it is not the Aliens who are dangerous. Perhaps, "Green Breaking Mankind"? I wonder where they got the word, Mankind from. This is a misnomer. There is obviously nothing kind about man.
Hmmm, perhaps, "Aliens, the hope of Mankind"? Or "Aliens, humanities last hope"?
As you can see. I am not a friend of Mankind, so perhaps I am an Alien? I finally came up with that idea after taking a few turns in the clothes dryer.

Since they learn humanity by living an entire lifetime as one of us, why not simply "Being Human?" It can be taken literally, or figuratively ("human" in the sense of "compassionate.")
