well, I'm a little shaky thanks to a conversation with someone on the support site I belong to. She told me she was being used by her own father for sex, something she described in some detail, and she refused any idea of reporting him or stopping him.
I ache in grief for her, but I had to let her go because considering my background, it was all I could do to not throw up while she was talking, and I got very upset at her lack of interest in helping herself.

It is abuse, a rape, and highly illegal besides being morally despicable. I don't know what you can do or are willing to do but I could not continue without trying for some sort of intervention by someone.

that the site allows a person to not have to give out any real info about themselves. According to her profile, she's 17, and living in the States, but I dont have enough to say call her local Social services or police and have them investigate. And her attitude didnt seem conductive to being persuaded to do so on her own. And listening to her describe what he was doing to her caused me great difficulties because of my own history.

There is a condition I do not remember the name for where the abused identify when they are abused. Ie she needs the sex by her father to prove who she is. Its sick and twisted but from what I understand also incredibly hard to break out of.

Its called the Stockholm Syndrome. Perhaps one of the best known examples would be Patty Hearst.
I will pray from the victim, as well as you Dorothy. Abuse is one thing that I view seriously and take a zero tolerance policy toward.

It may not help, but you can try contacting your local RCMP internet sex crime division. They might be able to get enough to back-track this person. Then, if there is an actual crime they would be able to refer to the revelent authorities (FBI, State Police) here in the States.

You could contact the police. They'll be able to get a warrant to find her IP address from the site you were on, which they can then track to her exact house. You can do something.
