In other news, the final parts of Book 18 should be complete in time for a weekend release of, at the very least the last 10 chapter segment and if I get my act together - maybe even the full 40 chapter book! So prepare your credit cards, dust off your Kindles and be ready for Sunday!
Okay folks - here it is, Part 3 of the 18th Gaby book, Summery.
Its available through the usual outlets from today and sees our heroine get into more interesting situations than you can shake the proverbial stick at!
fresh from a breezy (there's a 40-50kph north westerly blowing) Yorkshire there's new Gaby, Sobering Thoughts finds the Apollinaris party in Hiroshima.
That's today, on Sunday you can expect part three of the latest book to be available through the usual channels - more excitement and angst than you can shake a stick at!
As I was writing some Gaby yesterday (6 new chapters in 4 days writing!) that a lot of readers, especially newer arrivals here may be unaware of something important.
What I hear you ask? Well back in the distant past the Gaby series had a few very active fans, several of which went as far as writing fan fiction, the bulk of which can be found on the GMS (Gaby Mini Site) pages of Maddybell.com.
So a couple of things - firstly, would people be interested in reading some of those tales here at BC? Secondly, have any of the authors got any issues with them being posted here?
In Shindo we get a lot more racing and a hatch is plotted for later in the week.
Like all royalty, I'm feeling a bit under the weather this week, a trip to Nottingham intended to lift spirits didn't do much other than get me out of the house and writing is stalled as I can't concentrate for more than a couple of minutes. Oh well, it'll all come out in the wash.
As the year draws to a close the temperature here is plummeting! What at first glance looked like a good layer of snow this morning was actually a heavy frost that has persisted all day - even in the city centre!
Well that's the first big day done and dusted, at Bell Acres pretty much all I did was cook, eat and sleep - well I did end up going through some old photos, well four years old, and reliving one of my German trips. Not the best Christmas ever but certainly better than the depressing episodes I've had in recent years and the darn right miserable one last year when I was cold and couldn't cook properly due to a broken cooker blowing the electrics!
Is it really a year since the last time we were here?
Well it is and it's been an interesting year and i'm sure the next one will be too. Let me make some predictions:-
Some people will die
Some people will do good stuff
Some people will do bad stuff
Some kids will be born
There will be weather
Shit will happen
In other words pretty much the same as every other year to a lesser or greater degree. So let me wish you all more good stuff than bad, more joy than pain.
well I'm not feeling very seasonal today at least.
I have sent two new Gaby chapters for editing, my Chrimbo shopping is pretty much complete and you might just get the next arc of Book 18 before the weekend.
Today you get Cheeky Chiba Chappie to read - the continuation of the Wunderkinds Japanese adventure.
Got back home last e'en from an exhausting trip around the NRW (Nord Rhein Westfalia) region of Germany. Gab's dragged me from Muenster in the north to Aachen in the west and south as far as Bonn to enjoy the pleasures of the Weihnachtsmarkts. It was a gruelling week, 28 market sites in 11 different towns and cities which added 27 beverage containers to my burgeoning Gluehwein mug collection! Hopefully next week, when we've recovered a bit, i'll post an A to er S of the trip complete with pictures.

So its been a little damp on this rock this week, 'Angus' doing his best to drown half the population and wash away the rest!
It does mean that I've not been tempted much beyond my front door for a few days which in turn means my editor has taken delivery of more new Gaby than I had anticipated, the first 6 of the new book are complete. This in turn means that with a following wind the first complete arc may be made available on Sunday! I've written so fast I don't even have a title yet.
As the more observant of you will have spotted Amazon have started an 'on demand' print service. I'm in the process of making all the Gaby series available, the Nena books are already up.
Amazingly there have been some hard copy sales already, so my query is, if you have bought an Amazon print book what do you think of them?
Whilst this isn't intended as a sales plug I would just like to remind you that if you are buying anything on Amazon if you log in through BC this site gets a 'royalty' - Gaby sales last month put $50 in the coffers in this way.
Below, as promised yesterday, is the sample German translation followed by the original English text. I know its not perfect, I know it needs some tweaks here and there, what I need to know is whether its readable or just so rubbish its useless.

You may recall I posted about my desire to make at least some of my scribbles available in other languages, firstly in German.
Rather than go pell mell into it I started with a sample chapter and sent it to someone with a good understanding of English as well as being a native German speaker. Now I know it's not perfect, I expected it to need a bit of tweaking on spellings/tenses but with my limited German skills I could follow the general gist of things. but apparently it made little sense to a German.
On this, Remembrance Sunday I always find it difficult to watch the old soldiers on their march past the Cenotaph, it is they, not the politicians, who lay everything on the line for our freedom. They didn't all volunteer but they all played their part, today we honour them.
In an effort to make my scribbles more accessible I've now (hopefully) set up Amazon print versions of the full Nena series of 6 books! Don't hold your breath, they may take a day or two to come on line but if dead tree is your thing - well there are no excuses now!
Sometime this week i'll have Book 17 finished, The full volume should be out next weekend, part 4 could be ready for Wednesday if you are collecting in smaller chunks!

Well the good news is that i've had a good days writing, 3 chapters in the time it took me for one yesterday!
So that means that there will definitely be a new volume of Gabyness on Sunday, part 3 of the 17th Gaby book. I will of course post links on the day in question when for the more patient there will be a new part of book 12+1.
I'll be cracking on with the final arc tomorrow, it should, in theory, be ready by mid November!
how much you rely on your computer until something goes wrong.
Today i've spent best part of 10 hours writing a single Gaby chapter - a task that generally takes less than half that time. The reason? The files I needed to check for continuity were on my dead computer so I had to go a very roundabout way to access copies. A two minute job became half an hour and then had to be repeated - grrr, so annoying!
