Yes indeed, it's Good Friday, start of the longest weekend of the year.
I've been working like billy O to get Girl's on Fire finished for you and i'm pleased to say that from today you can access the complete book at Lulu and Amazon. For technical reasons (I'm writing this on the phone!) I can't give you direct links until Sunday but you know where to go right?
So at Amazon you can get Kindle and Paper versions and at Lulu, PDF and Paper.
I hope you all enjoy it and please if you can leave feedback/reviews and I'm happy to hear your comments either here or via PM.
Just wanted to confirm that Gaby - Girl's on Fire part 4 will be available from the usual sources tomorrow, that's Wednesday 12th of April.
The 300 plus page full volume of Book 19 is taking a little longer to put together - it will have a character appendix and I hope to include a basic location map too to help readers make sense of some of the story! I am planning to have it ready for release this weekend - something to read over Easter!
The other top news is that I'm ahead of the game with writing, 5 new chapters completed since Wednesday so with just one chapter to write tomorrow, Part 4 of Book 19 should be out on Wednesday. If you are hanging on for the complete volume that, with luck should be available at some point over the Easter weekend!
I've only gone and done it and it's not an April Fool's joke either. After a mammoth 12 hour session i've finished the next arc of Gaby Book 19 so the impatient should be able to tap in to it at some point tomorrow!
It has some classic Gaby inside, racing, eating and getting up to mischief.
I will of course be cracking on with the concluding arc on Monday so it could be complete as early as Easter weekend!
I seem to be going from one thing to another at the moment, if the leg wasn't bad enough I've now got some inflammation in the face which is causing a degree of deafness!
Maybe one day i'll be back to reasonable health!
Anyhow, you don't want to hear to much about my woes, you want writing and so today you can get the next Gaby chapter, Invalid.
Well its officially Spring and we are now running on Summer time, even the suns out. But that's in contrast to the time line in the current Gaby postings where things are decidedly less nice!
So pop over and have a look at Crossed and be thankful that it's spring and not autumn!
Some of you may recall me mentioning a leg issue over the last few weeks, well it got worse at the weekend so today I availed myself of the services of the NHS.
You don't need the gritty but the long and short is that I have a venal blood clot in my thigh. It's a wonder it hasn't done for me with my riding over the last few weeks but the expert's seem to think the prognosis is reasonable.
So - parcel fetched - it was a dig report from something I worked on for 6 years in the late '90's - only took the authors nearly 20 years to finish writing it up!
Fairly relaxing trip to Manchester Tuesday and finally today took delivery of the new passport, I can escape this madland now! hurrah!
And whilst waiting for the passport delivery I managed to write most of another Gaby chapter.
I was hoping to have the next chunk of book 19 ready for the weekend but a meeting Monday and a wayward muse yesterday have both impacted the time line so Part 2 could be out Sunday or it might be next Wednesday.
Okay so we'll start by linking you to todays chapter, Japan Revisited - more intrigue and gossip from Dernau!
In other news this week, the laptop that had fixed itself has fallen over again so that's looking terminal but on a more positive note, my injured leg is much better and I expect to return to more serious riding this week.
Oh and thanks to everyone who sent birthday greetings.
Just a heads up - the new Gaby book - Girl's on Fire - the 19th in the series will debut with part one on Sunday 19th February. If I can get my head in gear there will be a Gaby birthday special - it's her birthday next Saturday of course.
Being off everything - food and bike included, i've had no excuse not to get on with it!
I hate being ill! Mystery muscle damage in calf, mystery pains in sinuses and associated deafness - aargh!
Well its cold, damp and Yorkshire here - well it is still January -just!
So I got my writing head and the impatient amongst you can now find the final arc of the 18th Gaby book - Summery on the usual platforms. (Kindle always takes its time so be patient.) I hope you enjoy it.
In other news, the final parts of Book 18 should be complete in time for a weekend release of, at the very least the last 10 chapter segment and if I get my act together - maybe even the full 40 chapter book! So prepare your credit cards, dust off your Kindles and be ready for Sunday!
