I thought I'd post a chapter on an old story that had 34,000 hits on Chapter 1 in 7yrs. It was only 6 chapters and they all had lots Hits and plenty of Kudos.
It was only a short chapter to decide if it was worth doing a few more. This chapter got more hits and more kudos than I expected and so I take this as a lesson learned.
I realised for me it's best that I should not to expect too much and just to keep stories to solo's or just a few chapters around 2000 words each.
I'm reaching the point on my story 'Carla & Julian' where I want to link it to a video posted on YouTube that inspired the story. It is fiction and provides the background to the 2 central characters, one who is transgender and provides an insight to the lives of their families. The film is a wedding day.
Can the story link to the YouTube video without breaching copyright or risk of my story being removed? The main character names are different and I could just add that the story was inspired by xxxx.
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas so I decided to look back at one of my stories 'Lost & Found'.
It was a fictional story for a competition that inspired me to write around a real life situation. No fantasy just an example of human kindness after personal tragedy.
Anybody got any recommendations for a nice read, story or book on Amazon, since Christmas is coming?
I had posted Chaper34 as the final chapter but I've adjusted the heading. I was easily persuaded to carry the story on and bring it to a proper conclusion.

One of our members needs all our support since she has suffered tremendous cruelty after rejection by her family. She was brave enough to explain her situation in a blog and received quite a few comments offering support and advice.
It would be great if a lot more of us showed her their support and friendship to avoid her carrying out her threat. She has suffered a lot and she needs encouragement.

I want her to realise she can make lots of friends on this site to help her understand that nobody needs to be alone.
Borrowed this character from a person I met early in my career who was descended from the Tancred's of North Yorkshire. He was a unique character with a personality never to forget. He was not a bounder or a cheat but he was a character.
I just posted Chapter 20 and had intended this be the concluding part of this story. The hits are not high for each chapter but the kudos is encouraging so I've continued to keep the pace the same and hopefully complete in a few more chapters. Sorry for those waiting for the end but I've endeavoured to post Chapters more frequently than I've done with previous stories.
Melanie Browns good work has inspired me to write again so I've edited chapter 6 of The Visit and posted a new Chapter 7. I've enjoyed Texas Belles that brought so many nice memories of my visits to Japan and she is a gifted writer with many great stories.
I was invited to London this weekend and had the good fortune to see a matinee performance of this stage musical. I went without any idea of how successful this New York girl had been even before she released her first album and I couldn't imagine how this could be a stage musical.

I looked back at a story that I posted some time ago related to Valentines Day. (The Usual Please) Funny that it was like a new story to me and I couldn't remember writing it. The memories came flooding back since Sky was real and a lot of the story was based around true fact or experience. Time certainly flies and memories do fade.
Sometimes paths cross in the strangest places and circumstances.
A few things happened this week that caused me to look at unfinished stories on my list and then I heard a radio announcer advertise a BBC Radio programme called 'Jamie and the Piano Man - A Billy Joel Special'.
I read several stories again checking for work I needed to do to tidy up and fulfil a promise.
My favourite posting from my own list is 'Sing me a Song Mr Piano Man' and I wondered if authors might consider the same and pick their favourite stories from their own lists that gave them the most satisfaction (and did not necessarily receive the most kudos.)
I don't get many hits on my Blogs but read other blogs sometimes and comments that are posted. Hits and Kudos scores and writers concerns cropped up a few times.
I read historical stories aren't interesting to most readers and also noticed a lot of new writers and members yet a general decline in hits of all stories. There was some good advice.
I get more angry every day about this animal. He uses crocodile tears, the loss of his feet as a small child, black ties, wrenching in court and any trick he can to seek sympathy.
He had a gun, not just a weapon of self defense but a weapon of mass destruction, he had a motif since she clearly had argued with him, knowledge of the bedroom/bathroom layout, a bad temper, an arrogance, a jealousy, previous record of anger displays, shooting guns, scaring girlfriends and no witnesses.
I was in Hong Kong yesterday having been reluctant to visit because of all the bad publicity about riots and tear gas on BBC World and CNN.
I didn't see any trouble and the protesting group had dwindled to about 50 people far in the distance from safety barriers.
The protesters weren't causing trouble last weekend but did get showered with pepper and tear gas. The reaction of the crowd was to keep passing water and protective items to the front line.no angry exchanges with tolerance.
I don't know why newscasters have to sensationalize everything.
An actress to never forget who was the inspiration to the story I posted about Piano Man. She played the part of Roxy.
A husky voice to never forget and a truly female female.
Surely missed but a very sexy lady and a lucky man tickles the ivories for her for 15 years.

This is a really enjoyable film with a British boy actor Asa Butterfield and a young French actress Cloe Moretz. They sometimes could be sisters since he has such feminine features. She looked like his older sister and was slightly taller that made him seem even more girly.
It took me back to my early youth when I could easily have presented as a girl and when I had my first experiences. A lot of nice memories are locked inside and sadly no mobile phones or digital cameras. Who knows what would have happened if I knew then what I know now.

I was saddened to read that the famous se-change couple Katie Hill and Arin Andrews had parted. It was a wonderful story whilst it lasted of a boy who became a beautiful young woman and a pretty girl who became a handsome young guy. Having said that they are young and it shows how Katie has blossomed and is now very content and living as normal a life in university as other students. I often feel the younger generation is more accepting of situations and I hope Katie finds happiness and future success since she was very brave.
I guess I didn't visit the site as much as I would have liked recently since life has bee getting in the way. I had to face up to new challenges but as tough as they are they are nothing compared to some I read recently here.
I should count my blessings. So I picked up on the Christmas story I started and hope to get back into the swing of things. So many people here support and encouragement and even a nice thought or a wish or just a touch of kindness.
Background : After the intro chapter describing current events in Hong Kong where michael awakes from a night of passion with a 'male' colleague the previous chapter gave the background of events leading up to his trip to Hong Kong. It explained how Michael was thrilled to be promoted and suddenly found that instead of taking on new responsibilities with financial benefit he was to be discarded and made redundant. Worse than that he was being passed over for Vanessa who he often baled out and who was taking advantage of the Company.
In China the number 8 has a lot of significance for good luck and prosperity. Hence a lot of people were married on 8/8th month.Their Olympic games stated at 8pm on 8th of the 8th.
