after several weeks of up & down!

Most of us like some routine in our lives, the morning coffee, shopping on day x, catching the same bus for work and so on, my grandson has just started school and is just starting to learn about routine after years of largely unstructured life. Don't get me wrong, i'm not OCD about stuff (usually!) but since my Covid experience in August, for one reason or another my routine has had a few glitches! This week though, things are back to normal, or as near normal as i get, chaos is fine in small doses but a bit of order gets me through the week.

On that note, well Monday i got down to some writing, finishing the next slice of the new Gaby book, my Patreon supporters can read it now, the rest of you will have to be patient! Then it was off to the shops - can you believe they have Hallowe'en and Christmas stuff on the shelves together, its not even the end of September (quite).

Tuesday is a ride day of course, it was a bit cooler than of late so i broke out the woolly hat, long sleeves and windproof for a day into the mess of hills where the Mendip, Cotswolds and Cranborne chase collide. It was exactly the plan but junction choices led me past Frome to Longleat (of safari park fame) which then meant skirting Salisbury Plain to get to my lunch stop near Trowbridge. I didn't tarry too long as it was a bit cool in the wind, setting off for the final leg into the wind at least slightly refreshed. With @ 70 miles in the legs i decided i deserved cake so stop #2, just a short way from base, supplied the necessaries to round out almost 1200m of up spread over 120km.

And so to today, laundry, this blog and then hopefully i'll get more writing done as well as a bit of a walk on this bright and breezy day. Of course i've posted the next part of Gaby book 1, The Anime Days for your edification, Sleepover isn't the longest chapter but you do get some original illustrations!

Thats it for today, back on Sunday all being well,
Tschussie
