I'm facing a moral dilemma and I need everybody's help.
See, I had something very good happen to me yesterday, and originally I planned to come here and share it at full volume, but then I started thinking.
I'm already much better off than a lot of the people here, at least in terms of how accepting their loved ones are of the gender stuff, and I started to wonder if me sharing would make those people feel worse about their own situations.
And since I don't want to hurt anybody, should maybe I just . . . not share?
Advice please?

I would share
on the theory that it's nice to hear that good things are happening to people I care about. You share a lot of your life here. Why leave out the good stuff?

We share with friends the good and the bad. We see each other's beauty and ugly sides. If you can't share good things that happen to you, then you shouldn't share the bad things.
I just wrote a very depressing poem. I was trying to figure out if I should post it here. I prefer to post happy ending stuff but there are other sides of my life. The people here would rather hear your good news, than my depressing poem. Post your good news.

Dorothy it's always nice to hear when a friend has good news, and we are friends here on BC, even when sometimes we fall out. So tell us your good news and know we are happy for you.

In all the time i've been reading here on BC i've never found your thoughts and comments to be about gloating or other negative ways.. do tell about your good fortune. I think hearing about good things happening is making other people than me feel good too. I am happy to hear something good fell in your lap.

Dorothy, we all love you and are glad when something good goes your way! I'm sure that those among us who are not as well off in their lives will still feel happy to hear that nice things can happen to people like us as it gives us all something we desperately need in life... hope. Hope that one day they too will know love and acceptance.
