She knows when I am lonesome
She cries when I am sad
She's up in the good times
She's down in the bad
Whenever I am discouraged
She knows just what to do
But girl,
She doesn't know about you
I can tell her my troubles
She makes them all seem right
I can make up excuses
For why her clothes are mussed
We can talk of tomorrow
I'll tell her things that I wanna do
But girl,
How can I tell her about you?
How can I tell her about you?
Girl, please tell me what to do
Everything seems right whenever I am you
So girl, won't you tell me
How to tell her about you
How can I tell her I become you
Whenever she is away
How can I say it's you I think of
Every single night and day
But when is it easy telling someone the truth
Oh girl, help me tell her about you
How can I tell her about you?
Girl, please tell me what to do
Everything seems right whenever I am you
So girl, won't you tell me
How to tell her about me?

Thank you
Nice take!

Glad you liked it,
and thanks for the comment.
It is a tricky one, isn't it?
Yes, it's a hard call to make. Sometimes, very infrequently, but just sometimes it works out OK, but the odds are against it. I remember exactly the emotions you describe, before evens overtook me.
Still, All's Well that Ends Well to quote himself.
A nice modification of a song!

"Lately it occurs to me..
what a long strange trip its been."
I'm one of the lucky ones,
I did tell my wife and she is actually happy about it, because I am doing so much better having done so. I've got a wonderful woman. Thanks for the comment. Fun side bit, I actually have done that play!
So, when's the album coming
So, when's the album coming out? :-)

I Heard That...

LOL
Thanks for the comment.
I wasn't familiar with the original song
but now I've heard it, you have written a very clever adaption, which obviously resonates with some readers. Well done!

Brava!
I don't know the original song, but the verse is sound and flows well. I can get the concept without the music, which is an excellent test of good lyrics.
Good job, Holly!
