Something smells rotten in

Something smells rotten in the world of the light...two supposed forces of light against intent on using her, I hope she realizes which one has the best interests in mind and not personal gain before it is too late.

I'm told STFU more times in a day than most people get told in a lifetime

So true.

But that can be rather tricky when mind control brainwashing is involved.

She's a double double agent whether she wants it or not. :P

She's awfully susceptible to

She's awfully susceptible to Archon brainwashing isn't she? Archon power in general it seems finds itself magnetized to her. I wonder if she ends up serving a MUCH higher purpose and is somehow able to end this madness. Or at least is instrumental in it.

Amber was especially susceptible at first too, but eventually found ways to be stronger than any Archon, before winding up one herself.

Abigail Drew.

I will say this about her...

She will serve her purpose. :P

I always intended her to have a strong affinity for mana. I gave little thought to her susceptibility, but that's a keen observation I may have to use. Also remember how Wu made similarly devoted and powerful acolytes of a whole mercenary squad in the last book with a single battle ritual. Wu and the new Jornell are much more powerful than the Visnau and Jornell of old. How much is related to Regan and how much is the archons' power remains to be seen, but I will tease that it is indeed a decisive factor in the plot.

Amber's susceptibility and power with archon mana are because she is a seeker. I always envisioned that being a seeker provides up to about a 25% boost, depending on the level of their seeker sight. Amber and Danna are about at the top of that range, and Bryce us probably somewhere near 20%, which helps explain why they are better users than their peers.

Thanks for the insightful comment!
