It's either a knee or an elbow; I'm not sure what to call it - the joint in the middle of her right foreleg/arm - it just freaks me out, not that it's drawn wrong or anything. It looks like a knee but it bends the wrong way, or it's an elbow with a foot on it, which seems appropriate in context but just sets off some visceral "Eww - monster!" reaction in me.
And I don't want to spin this off on a political discussion. It just seemed like donkey girl needed an elephant girl to square off against.

I did, knelbow is an actual word! Sort of.
I found it used in sports medicine contexts as shorthand for "either a knee or an elbow" since the joints are similar and have similar stresses and failures. Knees are more complex, though, I think.
I also found it used in biomechanics, as shorthand same as above but also in another jargon meaning--as a mid-joint that can bend either way in a mechanical limb. Since my knees ARE double-jointed (no fun when running or standing for a long time, btw) I guess I have knelbows in my legs. :)
I think this gives us a name for our transformee; Donna K. Bottom--the K stands for Kanelbo. :)

The ex-slum landlord could be a shoe model; she could do the job in half the time. Laces would be a problem though.
I agree, the odd front elbows and the feet for hands is pretty freakish, Jennifer.
The riding accademy wouldn't work, the kids would keep pitching forwards in the saddle.
I'm so proud of myself, just like with Marcy Doats, and with far more to justify saying it, I did not say , 'What a great ..." I do have my limits.

If I managed to draw a sexy elephant girl, I think it would be way TOO disturbing or TOO comical for the tone of the strip. A catgirl is certainly possible.
