so unfortunately, I have had a setback with my dentures.
I started having pain, but I'd promised my aunt I'd drive her to her doctors, and so went without them,
When I got home, I discovered the reason why - I have a couple of bones making their way from under the surface of my gums.
I will have to go see the dentist, and see if they can do anything, and because of the long weekend, I'll be making the call on my birthday.
Sighs, hugs please?

They might be tiny broken fragments from tooth extractions. I could feel, and still can after all this time, little tiny bumps where they worked their way to the surface. If you can see them in a mirror, tweezers may remove them and save you a trip. Just like a splinter working its way out.
Dentists usually don't worry too much about small fragments that may break loose during the extraction. Small pieces of tooth can break down and be absorbed by the body, or work their way out. Not a fun thing, but what can you do?

I've been wondering what the sharp thing, but painless, is sticking out of my gums at the site of a right upper molar extraction that was infected before they took it out. Since The 20-21 Covid thing, my teeth have literally gone to hell. At 77 years old, so far I just eat soft food.
