I find that when the characters in my stories do that, the stories tend to write themselves and turn out better because of it. Sometimes it's a little like having a tiger by the tail. Your just a long for the ride and you don't dare let loose.

Can't wait to see how they do with what you've started.

I don't have that problem

since I take over (as in becoming) the character instead. Well, at least the narrator. So, no conflict between me and my characters.
I have mentioned earlier that this makes me question my sanity at times, considering the nature of some of my characters, They range from mass murderers to the pope (not mutually excluding), from bigots to supermodel (wishful thinking?), from perpetrator to innocent and left out bystander (rather sad).
