so last night I dreamed I was on a cop show with David Boreanaz. I helped interview a suspect, I fielded a call from headquarters, and the two of us drove back to the station together after rescuing a co-worker.
Hey, don't ask me, folks. I just do the dreaming.

From the dreams...
Of Dot comes the possibility of a new story, so lets all tell Dot's muse to get her brain juices flowing and see what she can come up with.
PS nice dream, you're girly side is coming through very clearly
DJdownunder is right ...
... Dreams can provide the 'kernel' of a story. The trick is to write down enough of the idea 'instantly' after waking. They tend to fade forever in just a few minutes.
Long ago, I took an Improvisational Theater/re class. (Think Saturday Night Live.) I figured if I ever needed ideas, I could just pick up a few 'check-out stand' tabloids... Often, the improv troupe will ask the audience to 'shout out' ideas.
If you ask, I bet we here can 'shout out' a lot of ideas for your Muse.

One evening, my Mom and didn't quite 'lose it', but we did misplace it for a while.
I ended up 'doing' the Janitor/Maintenance guy at Chicago's Lyric Opera, with my Mom interviewing my Janitor persona. He (Janitor) was complaining about all the clean-up problems after an Opera. I recall one was the problem of getting stage blood out of the costumes.
"Life imitates Art." Later (December 2012), Lyric staged "Hansel and Gretel". There is lot of food on stage, including gorging and a 'food fight'. A complication was that >both< Leading Ladies are vegans, and so all on-stage food had to be vegan. And, "Yes Virginia, there is a vegan Profiterole."
I don't even want to think about the clean-up ...
... and some are just 'little' dreams ...
I was somehow in a government facility, with all the walls just anonymous grey cinder-block.
And, in the way of dreams, the place kept shifting, so it was hard to get back and find my stuff.
So I started spray-paint stenciling numbers on the walls. Why I was doing all something "two"s - 32, 52, 72 - don't know. Then the 'winner' in our group sprayed "HAPPY' in lime green, as big as would fit, on one wall. Somehow, we didn't do the full "Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy" as in: https://youtu.be/eVM1nUmDHHc
Then we left the mostly full spray cans at Reception for others. We weren't going to 'use up' all the walls -er- fun!
Duplicated ...
... Yuk. (There seems to be no 'delete'.)
