So I have submitted "the girl with the scars in her eyes", and "Gibraltar falls" to a Canadian magazine.
I will know if they accept it sometime in the next 6-8 weeks.
Keep your fingers crossed for me, okay?

Yaay Dorothy!
"6-8 weeks"... That's what the doctor said would be the healing time.
Then doc said "No more crossing your toes, no matter how hard you're wishing for happy outcomes.".

Just re-read "Gibraltar Falls" - Happy to see a story on human resilience and recovery ... when I'm very often pessimistic about whether we can, or have enough "working together" spirit, gumption and wisdom to do so. (I gotta stop following current events ...)
And "the girl ...". Yeah. Sometimes it's the quiet ones, the shy ones, the 'scaredy cats' ones, who have so much to offer. But first we have to prove we won't hurt them... again, and just like everybody else who has hurt them ...
That sounds awesome!
I'll def keep my fingers crossed for ya. :)
