If you are here, it's because you want to be here.

For you to "Be Here", Big Closet also has to "Be Here".

The only reason BCTS is 'on the net', is because every month, enough people 'cough up' enough money to pay for everything.

And our Admins and core people are way too close to 'coughing up blood'. Every month.

Please think about what BCTS is worth to you.
---
This is only for people who can, but have not yet contributed - let's do a simulation:

>>>Log OUT of BCTS<<<
While you're off, amuse yourself however you like. Solitaire, pet the cat, learn a new recipe ...

While you are off-line and BCTS 'has gone dark' for you, think about why you logged in today.

- Stories that give you 'happy sniffles'?
- Catching up with friends?
- Stories that give us wish-fulfilment that just about nobody can get in real life?
- Ideas for your own stories?
- News items that will never be on 'nightly news at eleven'?

When you know why you signed in today, figure out what all that's worth to you.

When you have it figured out, come back with 'cash in hand', but only an amount that is comfortable - and donate. (Nobody should be 'breaking their retirement account piggy banks' ...) ... Please ...

--
Again this is only for people who can donate, but have not yet done so.

Thanks!

You are quite right, but I have a problem (Houston). Our mega rich squillionaires at Paypal will not allow me to give a few shekels to BC. They demand information with which it is not possible for me to comply. Their gatekeepers want me to give them information that a non-resident of the USA cannot know before they will allow me to donate.

I'm trying!

Contributions can be made via Patreon, too. https://www.patreon.com/bigcloset But I'm not sure their reporting requirements are less onerous for non Usaians. I know we do get contributions in currencies other than USA dollars, many of them through PayPal.

Any other ideas?

Hugs,
Erin

Retirement . . .

Your comment about retirement and piggy banks made me think.
Just looked and realized that I've been here for 10 years, and during that time have seen how so many of us (me included) are getting a bit "long in the tooth".

Dentists aside, a bequest to BCTS in our Wills might be something to think about seriously.
What's missing is a way to make a bequest in a very low-key manner that doesn't raise "embarrassing" questions for the survivors or "out" the person making the will.
Any ideas, people? Erin?
Hugs,
Miriam

No real clue there

I suppose a bequest or perhaps a life insurance policy could be left to me or Piper as persons? Other ideas?

Hugs,
Erin

"But wait! There's one more..."

,,, way to donate. The most recent (10/28) 'please donate' post from Admins includes a street address.

I hope this works out for the 'international' people, and those people who are cautious about sending their 'magic numbers' over the Internet.

Someone suggested using the person-names of the Admins - but first ask under what name(s) they can cash the check, and not make the bank look at the check and say "Pay to whom? Go away."

Hope this works. (And maybe reduces chances of self-outing.)

{Blush} ... We often said in Customer Support ...

"Read The F--- Manual ..." (RTFM) The letters after the 'F' depended on whether or not Customers could hear us ...

My Wife and I had it down to one gesture and one word: "Snakebite", with two fang-like fingers lunging at our necks ...

Looks I forgot to "Read The Fine Manual", and just got 'snakebite'. ... {multiple red-faced 'smiley's go here}

I find that I can’t get PayPal to work from the iPad. PayPal doesn’t seem to like my password so as I am reading in bed at night in the UK I usually manage to send an extra donation from my desktop the next day. Copy and pasting the password from my protected source works ok.
