Please send me anything positive you can think of about me.

Mr. Nasty is doing a number on my brain, and I am struggling to feel worthwhile.

Present

Dot, you are always here for your friends. So when God calls the roll of good people, just answer, "Present." You are a gift. :D

Hugs,
erin

Dot,

I'll remind you that you are a child of the King. You are heir and co-heir with Christ. God loves you and has declared that you are his. By him you were fearfully and wonderfully made.

And remember what Satchel Paige said, "God don't make no junk."

You need to make this your wallpaper.

You are often the first to find the positive, to encourage, to appreciate. Know that your community loves and appreciates you too. Be well!

Rather ironic situation

You always find something positive to say about others and then a small part of yourself denies you the more than well-earned satisfaction of knowing that you are a kind and positive person. Positive persons are rarer than they should be.
If there ever was anyone who should be evicted that is that small part.

Or to put it more egoistically: I, and I assume many others here on this site, would find the world a duller place without your cheerful comments.

A Native American(?) legend says ...

there are two wolves eternally fighting inside of us, one Good and one Evil.

Younglings hearing this often ask "Which one will win?"

"The one we feed."
---
nasty-butt is a ghost, a construct, a memory - nothing more than swamp-gas. We don't feed such. Same as we don't feed the evil wolf. We starve them. We busy ourselves with hot tea and biscuits/cookies, going for a walk - preferably in nature, getting together with friends, ...

- (Re-)reading some really nice stories on BCTS (yours come to mind), so do:

- Ricky (one start is here): https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction/11575/deal-with-devil). Ricky does fast-paced, often punny dialog

-R.G. Beyer: the complete & total romp that is https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction/84686/summers-current.... Be patient, it takes a few stories for it to 'grow on you', and they need to work on letting us know who is speaking.

- Bru: Specializes in short stories with a twist, often needing a re-read. https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction/77535/brothers-love

and so very many more.

Long ago, in one of my bad times - a very good and wise friend asked: "What is good about you [Alan]? Make a list." 200 items later, it kinda worked, as did seeing a counselor. If needed, most word processers smarter than Notepad (ex: Word or a free clone) have solid document password/encryption.
---
Remember, we can't (should not) fight the evil wolf, nasty and similar. >That< mistake, of pounding on them, just feeds them, makes them stronger. Treat them like telemarketers - hang up and go back to fun stuff.
===
Positives - look how many people are responding to you, many at length. We wouldn't do that for somebody we don't like and care about.
---
Now, go feed your soul, your spirit, your mind, yourself - nasty, evil wolves and all the other useless evil phantoms can go starve in limbo.

PS: Try to minimize 'crud' coming in to your life.

The 'usual suspects' for crud are 'main stream media', (especially for me) a lot of FB pages, some people.

We probably only 'should' check on the news once a day. One of BBC, CNN, Al-Jazeera should cover news. Really important current events will be 'splattered' everywhere. Play music you like - pick a source that doesn't yammer-yammer-yammer. (I have a few thousand tracks on a USB, and yes, it's backed up.) One possible: volunteer. It can be as 'simple' as walking dogs at a shelter or maybe cuddling cats who need it. Maybe you go home with a new Companion (cats are 'lower maintenance').
---
Be good to yourself. You 'know the drill': decent meals, decent sleep (for me, my Teddy/ie bear helps), activity - preferably out of doors and in Nature.

I think you have a counselor; does your church have a priest or similar with whom you can talk?

There's a catch

I got plenty of positives, Dot, and they're all coming your way.

However, if you want the negatives, I have them stashed in a safe place and it will cost you big bucks or I'll make them public!

:)

You're doing fine, Dot. Just keep doing it.
