not clickbait but true.
So the week started out pretty much as usual, Sunday's ride was a pleasant 60+km in the end so i was looking forward to a down day Monday. Laundry, walk to the shops then down to some writing, most of a chapter before my head went into lockdown. Which is when everything went to poo.
Not literally but i started with a bad head, by bed time it was clear my Tuesday ride wouldn't be happening even if things improved overnight. Tuesday morning i had a sore throat but the head wasn't any worse - or better. I finished the chapter but really my concentration was nil, a walk around the block was okay but i couldn't face food, felt like i'd done a few rounds with Henry Cooper and ended up watching some stuff on YouTube before binging on Ashes to Ashes, firing up the Quattro as it went!
Last night i slept through but i was still running a temperature this morning, after wishing #1 daughter a Happy Birthday (39 would you believe) i returned to bed and fell asleep again. Since then my temperature has dropped and after getting up @ 13.00 i managed a cup of coffee and a croissant, the nearest to food i've had since breakfast yesterday. Buit now i've developed a bit of a cough! Oh the joys of our infirmity.
I reckon i'll manage a short walk later but a ride tomorrow is in the balance.
Thats all for now, i'll be back on Sunday.,

Don't try to rush
getting back on the bike.
It could be a case of one pedal forward, and two punctures back.
Have a hug from me.

Err..sore throat, cough???
Maddy, do you think that it might be COVID?
It's probably worth doing a test, if you can get one.
I had identical symptoms in May, and yes that turned out to be COVID. The good news is that all being well it will be fine in a week or so. But do rest,it takes it out of you.

Hey
Stay healthy. We need more Gaby.
Yeah, I've been re-reading (and reading for the frst time parts I had missed) all of the Gaby Saga. (Did you know part of Book One seems to be available only on Crystal's, not here on BC?)
Sometime I've been in awe of your skill and sometimes I've just been pissing myself from laughing. It's all good, even Book Five. :D

About half the chapters are missing, including the first visit to Germany. Maddy is on it. :)
