I never thought I'd be saying this
but today is this young mans 2nd Birthday!
The only fly in the ointment is that Corona restrictions have stopped any family celebration taking place. He will have his presents though, I've already delivered his first bike so we can look forward to some fun once all this has throttled back.
So what else has occurred this week so far? Well Monday I was running again, of course despite stretching beforehand I still managed to pick up an annoying little muscle pull! Hopefully that'll have settled back down before the next run on Friday.
Tuesday, as usual I was out on two wheels, this time a loop through the south Cotswolds on what developed into a nice sunny Spring day. The muscle pull didn't make its presence felt which was good and I generally felt in quite good form. It was a pity though to have to keep the ride short, the day was ripe for something much longer.
And so to today, another warm sunny one so it was summer frock, walk to the shops for some queuing practice - well I did pick up some supplies too, then a steady meander back. If it wasn't quite so restrictive you could get to enjoy the quiet streets that the Covid restrictions have imposed on us.
In other stuff, well those folks at Amazon have now released the latest print option so the full link set for the 2nd ed. of Gaby Book 10, Wheels is as follows:
I had hoped to get an outstanding writing project finished on Monday but the combination of my laptop and the WP programme I'm using has thwarted that ambition, looks like a complete re-write may be the only solution - grrrr - without buying another computer. Oh joy.
And so, after my overly long time wise trip to the shops, this afternoon I got a bit bored so I've exchanged blonde for a veritable smorgasbord of blues, pinks and purples and I'm halfway through redoing my nails - a purply colour of course!
Lastly then, its the new Gaby chapter, It doesn't rain. i'll give a tissue warning but no more clue as to the contents.
I guess its time to sort out some food, pizza I think, so for now, it's ciao bellisimo

WP (editor ?) crash caused loss of creation
Hello Madeline !
Why not use a crash-proof editor for your creative process ? If such an editor session somehow crashed (editor, os or machine) you could always restart without losing what you'd just written down.
I think of using e.g. Word if your laptop runs Windows.
Of course you'd always have to move your finished story to WP to apply the desired format.
Happy Easter !

I Wish
My machine isn't very powerful and has a very crappy freeware called Open Office, if I had Word (like I used to before my tower expired) I wouldn't have the problem.
I've not exactly lost anything, I just can't do anything with the file once its open (its quite big with text and lots of images)
Maybe once I can go proper shopping again I can get a new tower and Word and get back to being able to do a bit more.
