Something's Afoot

the final instalment of Gaby Express is now up for your perusal, here, on BC for free!

That means that there are only @ 200 more chapters of Gaby currently written - I really do need to get on with some more! The good news on that front is that I've pretty much got the last few words of Book 25 straight in my head so i'll be cracking on converting thoughts to bytes this week.

The other good news is that I've now put up the 2nd edition of Gaby - More Changes to Kindle and a print version should be available from Amazon in a few days (by past experience)

In other stuff - Well whilst my cold has progressed to the slight lung congestion stage (I know, TMI) the accompanying deafness is still manifesting itself. Combined with the unpredictable nature of the weather and my plans for the second half of the week have been disrupted once again.

So Thursday I ended up doing my Wednesday chores which meant Friday I was out on the bike for a lunch run to Weston then back via the Levels and Wells. Not a bad day and I felt fairly okay but I'm still a bit off being back to scratch. That hasn't been helped by my sore toe and a niggle in my left knee - end result is two more 'rest' days, a third even as I'm off to do some groundwork for a trip I'm leading in a few weeks, up in Gloucester tomorrow.

Hopefully the extra down time will have the desired effect and i'll be out awheel again on Tuesday.

Next up, the TG Writers Symposium. I'm proposing that this will take place the weekend of 2/3 August 2020, I'm still looking for a location but I hope it will be in the Warwick - Banbury - Coventry area. So if you fancy taking part you now have dates and an idea of where to look for accommodation (if you wish, its not compulsory to stay over!). As I said before, I hope that we'll have writings / readings from attending authors and some discussion as well as time to relax over food and explore some of the delights of the county.

If I find a room to hire we'll need to cover that cost (any locals have suggestions on that?) but otherwise attendance is free and all are welcome. I really would like as many authors as possible to take part and even if you can't attend, maybe you could send along some words to share with attendees. Obviously, if there are issues with Corona plans may have to change but it is 4 months away so hopefully things will have normalised by then.

So that's about it, I'm off to prepare Toad in the Hole for dinner before trying to get some words on the page before bedtime,
bye for now
