Hello out there,
I hope you're all doing well this evening.
I haven't really been writing and kind of feel guilty about it. You see I've been working with a group near me and we're making a short film. I wrote the script, am Directing it and am doing the Cinematography.
We have two more days of prep till we start filming and we aren't even making any money for doing it. We are on such a low budget that we need to do a potluck for the cast/crew. I'm going to bring my famous chili which happens to be a vegan chili btw.
I've made a couple of short films before, the first one failed due to weather and the second one we finished but I'm not happy with the edit.
I started working with someone new who is amazing at organizing things and keeping on top of people to get things done. For some reason I wish he was my therapist, I might actually be somewhere if he were. heh
This has nothing to do with my writing (at least the stuff I post here) I mostly just wanted to blow some steam and let you all know what I've been doing. Either way, thank you all for listening.

It's a fun hobby.
Over the years I've participated in a number of shorts and several full length movies. I started out as a production assistant, then moved on to do sound.

That's great! I'm hoping to make a career if I can out of it. I honestly just want to do camera work and focus on it. I don't need to be DP or anything high profile like that. I just love watching everything unfold on camera.
On smaller productions, it's tough because of how many positions each person needs to fill. Like the one I'm working on I talked about the three positions that I'm filling but I'm actually a grip and several other positions too. It's pretty tough but I hope to one day be able to get a steady gig as a camerawoman.
For now, I'll just keep doing short films. Our group is pretty close to LA so we are in a pretty good position as far as location.
