So I went to a writing group meeting tonight, and read a piece called "voiceless" (which you can read here: https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction/47484/voiceless ) and the group was very moved by it, and couldn't praise me enough.

Always nice to get positive feedback, you know?

good for you.

It is good that you get direct feedback like that and not just from mostly faceless commentators on the internet (aka the motley crew who frequent this site).

I attend a local Adult Education "Creative Writing Class" and have some homework each week. 300 words on the subject discussed that night. We read out our own work and one of the class and the teacher comment on it. Some of the class use the same characters each week so there is a lot of interest in the continuing saga.

This week our subject it was introducing backstory.
Writing to this set theme is actually a lot of fun. I publish my scribblings on my blog if you are interested.
None of the class knows about the main genre I write in so it is good to write in different ones.
