I've been busy tapping away at the keyboard again but i've got a problem. I keep miss typing which is slowing me down as I obviously have to keep redoing stuff. Then I realised that i've been working so hard i've worn the letters off almost half the keys!
Looks like I need to buy a new KB when I can get to a shop!
Anyhow Gaby book 20 is now 6 sizzling chapters long, I may have the first arc finished to put out next week!

Wow!
You have been hitting the keys hard.
You have a choice. Go with cheapo keyboards as now and buy two at a time or invest a little money and get a much tougher KB.
I have a pair of Dell KB's that I bought at a computer fair around 10 years ago for £5.00 each. They are still going strong.
This is the sort I have

sorry
For being a bit thick but what's the smart card reader for?

Security cards probably
Two stage verification, smart card and password
maybe
Somewhat overboard for my stand alone, isolated machine in my living room!

Haha..
And there I was, looking at the title and fretting about a post of despairing exhaustion, of author burnout, and, and -
you teasing git.
Tippex some new letters on and get typing, you. We may let you out for a few minutes to watch a bit of the TDY if you are good.

Wimp!
That's what my typing teacher would have barked at you. "If you know how to type you have no need to look at the keyboard!" Rest in Peace Master sergeant.
Seriously
I find that if I don't look at the keyboard or at what I'm typing on the screen, I type better -- more accurately. (The only thing I typed wrong was the word "accurately.")

Sam can confirm my typing skills are somewhat limited - I might get to two fingers occasionally and even knowing where the keys are I still hit the wrong ones when I can't see the letter but I can now, with some authority tell you the most often letters used in Gaby - to whit ADSERTION - Which is what I have to do when I make a typo!
There is a vague chance i'll get to a KB purveyor this week - any touch typists need a KB?

Good Thing
It's a good thing that I took a couple of typing classes in high school. At least, I know where the letters are on the keyboard. My massive typoing occurs more because of shifts in my brain, and looking away from the keyboard and the screen slows my brain down. (Fortunately, the letters F and J have marks on them that the fingers can feel.)

I also blame my brain
In my case it's that I leave out complete words (good thing I checked this since of course I had forgotten to type one of the words)
Sounds Familiar
One utterly amazing typo I committed: setting flags for a computer program. I first typed "ON NODATA", and my friend corrected me, saying it's "NO_DATA", and he pronounced "underscore" explicitly. A few seconds later, he said, "No, no, try again." I noticed that I was typing "NO_UNDERSCORE". He said something about fingers on keyboard and brain in neutral, before finally giving way to teary laughter.
