Now I'm sad that Dawn is firmly in the idiots crosshairs, and they tend to be a patient bunch and when you lease expect it, they show up to get revenge, thinking they were unjustly slighted somehow.... I can only hope that Dawn, Marty and crew can keep her safe, that poor family has been through enough problems =[

Lux never disappoints
As this story was originally said to run 29 chapters, this will be one very exciting ending. Both Casey Daniels and Terrence Shaw are pulling out the stops to try to get at her, and I hope that Principal Dalton is ready for what is coming. Hopefully either she or Dawn gets forewarned about this (does Shockley know?), or else I suspect that KVTX will again be needing to use prerecorded content for their late night shift. I would be thankful that Dawn doesn't take gym, but I know from the experiences of both Kaylie Tompkins and Lana Bekins that that is not enough to ensure safety. If Casey manages something, it will be during either a class change or a call down to the office. Hopefully he is singularly unsuccessful, though.
As for Shaw, the fact that Dawn has gained what support she has within Cullerville should help make sure his efforts are in vain. Given who he's appealing to, kidnapping seems unlikely. Protests and "PR" could be ugly, but Dawn & Friends are more than capable of handling it.

Good thing that Lux brought her cane today to school. With Casey planning something at the gym. With her entrouage around I do so hope it will be a short encounter and that the police can retrieve Casey and a few other hoodlums. This is a much appreciated chapter to this story. Shaw just doesn't get it, he's through, finished, washed up. Even calling in the out-of-town group fell flat, especially after that pig slapped Dawn. But he paid for his bad judgement with four missing teeth and a hefty fine. He's lucky Dawn was restrained or she might have really hurt him for what he said about her mom.
Dawn's little speech when asked about her transitioning was really nice. She did put them down but also forced them to think about their attitudes without making it obvious.
Oh great, Daniels is back out and headed for Dawn, along with others and the Coach. Hope someone catches wind of this and rallies the school. And Marty.

Casey Daniels being released on a computer error?
Yes, it can happen, but it is extremely rare and if the jail personnel are really doing their job, they would be making a backup check PRIOR to release.
I had several releases come to our jail from our courts, which looked "okay on the surface"; including one where we discovered we had TWO inmates in custody that had the exact same name, and both looked alike (yet not twins) or related at all.
I was coming back from a court with one of the two and saw the other guy at the release desk.
Asked my people what was going on and they said he was being released, as the paperwork had just been "tubed" to the jail.
WRONG!!! The guy I had with me was the correct person.
Were we lucky, I happened back when I did?
Yep, because the guy they were going to release, was scheduled to go to prison for about 20 years.
The only difference in the two were their SSN numbers and birth dates.
Most jails today have instituted fingerprinting a person again before release to prevent this type of stuff from happening.
Hopefully, Dawn can put the "beat down" on Casey, and the coach will be totally removed from the school as well.
