I absolutely love this universe you've crafted. I hope someday though that you'll write a story from the heroes side of things. I am LOVING the villain universe, I wonder just how bad (or possibly worse) the heroes side is :D

I like villains.
I will be having heroes show up sometimes. There are joint school projects, like dungeon crawls, capture the castle, save/assassinate a target, etc, and of course the Midwinter dance. So we'll see all sides.

I don't want any random hero side. I want to know what the hero school is like. I absolutely love the villain school in this universe. I am curious what kind of atrocities our fearless author came up with on their side :D That's why I love this story and I hope someday they will do a story on the other side too :D

laughs sounds interesting hmmmmm I wonder if the supplies are still listed as peter not petra ,or even more simple theres additional cost for food and the parents didn't read that or pay for it. but still sounds as if a teacher or 2 may be making it more difficult to get a edge in the betting cannot wait to see what happens next.

What people are missing here
What people are missing here is that OCD people can be really... anal? However, they want to be _correct_. If she lets them know that her name has changed, they aren't going to be mad at _her_ for having her name changed. They're going to be angry at the instructors that _failed to tell them about it immediately_. Everything must be done exactly right!
Scratch one instructor, and avoid the excessively dry mystery meat. (vampire kill meat is easy to spot that way)

Reminds me of the "Seventy Maxims..." from Schlock Mercenary
For anyone on here who isn't a Schlock Mercenary fan, there's an in-universe book entitled "Seventy Maxims for Maximally Effective Mercenaries", which is occasionally quoted by characters in the series. A few of the rules Domoviye quoted, plus Valentine's addition, remind me of those...
#1 -- Maxim #30: A little trust goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go.
#2 -- Maxim #27: Don't be afraid to be the first to resort to violence.
#2.1 -- Maxim #6: If violence wasn’t your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.
#3 -- Maxim #29: The enemy of my enemy is my enemy's enemy. No more. No less.
Nothing really directly translates to #6, but several do involve getting money out of your clients...

Nothing under her name...she should have realized that before! I have a strong feeling that once they make the change her past is done and there won't be any way back to being Peter. Petra is here to stay whether she likes it or not.
At least she got some sympathy and practical advice, and from those beginners courses maybe we can see the real abilities bloom!

As for her future, and her food, I have so many plans that no one has guessed yet.
Ah, the mystery is solved
Now that Petra knows why, hopefully she will be eating normally soon. It is always the little things that trip you up, the big ones you just walk into, like walls. Petra failed to follow up on an important bit of information in her advisement meeting, why she can't change her class focus from general studies. And as one reviewer noted the vampires will be mad that they were not informed of the change earlier, they could get annoyed at the teachers that didn't follow up the name change, Michael for causing the problem, or Petra for not dying and solving the problem for them to begin with.
She's getting special attention
In most schools students who catch a teachers eye get extra assignment, help and support.
In this school they get extra challenges.
What I want to know is:
Aren't challenges sort of like extra assignments? Except here they don't tell you the expected results. You hope you survive, but the person who presents the challenge may well hope you die in a way that doesn't implicate them in any wrongdoing!

They also don't tell you if you are being challenged. Or how you can succeed. Or who is challenging you. Or how well you did.
Wonder if Bob is an evil
Wonder if Bob is an evil Dwarf, as from her description of him, he is apparently vertically challenged?
Hopefully he will actually be of some small help to Petra as she enters the school year in full.

I suspect the guidance counsellors are the closest to honest individuals that exist in the school.
Why? Well, if for no other reason, you have to have _some_ part of the system that works in a predictable fashion. Predictable meaning that you won't get a different answer three times running. They might not be _helpful_, but they won't come straight out and lie to you. Look at this one - Bob said straight out that he wouldn't change Petra from General to Subterfuge, because school rules meant that then he'd be replaced. That doesn't mean he can't work within the restrictions, he just won't put effort to go around them.
So, Petra is likely to end up able to get food, yes. It may not be perfect, but she'll eat. She'll have the schedule dictated to her - but what happens within that schedule isn't Bob's problem.
Keep in mind that even villains need someone to keep the henchmen paid, housed, and fed. You can't staff those with nut jobs, or even people that are only interested in entertainment, because eventually - you won't have anyone left that will work with you. That can include students. If _all_ of the students realize that they're being jerked around for someone else's entertainment in everything, they'll _all_ leave, and the lovely money will stop coming in.

Don't expect everything to be nicely laid out for the students, but yeah some of this stuff will be truthful and straightforward.
Some, not nearly all.
I'd consider the areas that
I'd consider the areas that aren't going to be completely jerked around to be
1) Housing. Nobody got stuck with sleeping on the floor, for example. Barracks/Dorm style housing isn't the end of the world.
2) Food. Everyone has to eat - even if it's on sunlight and the morning dew. (Where the bee suck, there suck I), (That doesn't mean that it won't be something different every day, or maybe just the same thing, every day.)
3) Base schedule. This is a school. They have to have a defined class structure, or they can't claim that distinction any more. (Teacher, grading requirements that stay the same during the year, etc) Nobody says those classes have to be near each other, or safe, etc.
4) Requirements for graduation. See the previous. If there's no structure for that, it's not a school. (We'll keep you here until you run out of money, even if that takes 300 years.)
Pretty much everything else is up for grabs.
So, the guidance counsellors aren't likely to play the games. You won't like much of what they have to say, but in those four sections above, they will help. Here's where I see them being NOT helpful. Say you want to change your assigned class to another one. Potions to Wearables (amulets, bracelets, etc). Your counsellor will say "Sure! Here are the requirements. Get two signatures from instructors in that department, and one from administration. Then deliver it to scheduling - in the basement." He doesn't have to tell you where those instructors are, how to reach them, how to convince them to do it, and once that's done, that you need to be careful of scheduling - because they're ghouls. That's not HIS problem.
Oh - and if you don't ask the question, they don't have to give you the answer. If you _do_ ask a question, they will give you the right answer. You just won't like it much, and it may not be complete. You know, "Anything I should know about the scheduling department?" "They're ghouls." .. That's it. No volunteering information.

Won't say how accurate you are, but this is well thought out and pretty close in areas.

I hope things work out for her though. Nothing with her name on it in supply for food? How odd how can a student NOT have anything with their name on it in supply? Someone has screwed up somewhere, but who and why THAT is to be found out hopefully soon. Wepons and potions and magic hmmmm sounds interesting indeed.

according to old vampire lore they suffer OCD. In Eastern Europe if they worried about a vampire coming at night they'd scatter barley or other seeds on the floor. The vampire would have to count each one before going to feed, which usually meant he was counting until almost dawn.

This is a crazy, fun story to read.
Petra doesn't want to be at this school, isn't equipped to play in this sandbox, or so she believes, but is still breathing. It will be interesting to see how her nature helps her get through her first year.
Perhaps she'll discover other qualities of her nature which can only be reveled by being exposed to this type of experience. Like trying to open an ostrich egg with a hammer instead of a feather.

The teachers have been helpful, just not as helpful as Petra wants them to be. They got her changed to the girls dorm, helped her find a new name, explained a bit about how things work, and have given her incentives behind the scenes to improve.

It ended like that because he made series of noises that a human tongue couldn't reproduce. I thought it worked, I've seen it done in other stories, but I can see where that would cause problems. I just changed it to be more readable.

My muse works fast.
I did get a few ideas from Whateley, the fighting class, mad science, a student counselor, but I got the initial idea from Harry Potter. Throw in Ranma 1/2, a dozen or so boarding school manga's, the Evil Overlord List, and a desire to see things from the villains side, mix well and go for humour rather than horror, and you get this.
It's not a parody, more of a satire of lots of gifted kid goes to school and saves the world with everyone loving him or her.
Petra isn't special, she won't save the world, and not everyone will love her. The wise old mentor, is a sadist who enjoys making students squirm. You can't tell who's a good teacher or a bad teacher, they're all evil and want to prove it in their own ways. The difference between a bully and a hero is who is on her side at that particular moment.
It's just me letting my mind run wild with an actual plot but no end goal. Usually when working on my own, I have an end goal and the plot develops as I go along.

You know there is an Japanese Anime called Princess Princess. In an all boy school, three boys are selected each year to dress as Princesses. When you get through torturing Petra, a Princess PrincessPrincess story with your special flavor might be entertaining

And the only fanfic I do is Whateley. I can't sell the finished product, and with most fanfic there's not a big way to turn it into publicity to sell books, so I don't see much point.

Keep in mind, the best way to be a sadist in this school is _not_ to screw with the students directly. It's to make sure that the student constantly knows how badly they're screwed _by the school_.
Screw with the students directly (lie about what you're giving them, refuse to assist in real problems, etc), and they won't come to you to explain their problems for you to use for entertainment purposes. If that happens long enough, they'll be looking for a new guidance counsellor. Why pay someone for a job they're refusing to do, right?

As someone mentioned above this is a real school. The rules are drastically different, the focus is very different and the consequences of screwing up are worse then just suspension or a black mark on a permanent record but they do have to do a few things properly.
And yeah hearing their tales of woe and comparing who has it worst with the other counselors has become a regular tradition on boring nights amongst the faculty.
A Dwarf named Bob, could be
A Dwarf named Bob, could be worse. Could have gone with something like Danny or another name of a short actor. Although a dwarf who looks a lot like Danny DeVito would be funny. Nice addition to the cast and I recall one saying when encountering people like him. "You have to be a little crazy in this world to keep from going completely insane."

So he chose Bob, instead of going with his real Dwarfish name.
And Bob is going to be fun to write. I actually think his subterfuge class is going to be the funnest of all of them, because of some of the ideas I have about it.

Finding the time to write it is.
I was working on a big project, discovering that milk makes me have trouble breathing (I thought I was having a month long asthma attack and never realized my cereal was trying to kill me until last week) and other things kept getting in the way.
New chapter next week.

Glad to hear that it did not succeed in its evil plan and that more is to come soon. I also find milk to be a killer, or at least it makes me ill, only drink soy/rice milk and even then it often spoils in the frig due to my distaste towards milk. Take care and looking forward to your return.

The teachers are going to give her grief and her first period is probably going to out her. I wonder if she will adapt quickly or not, as well as will her attitude toward boys change.
