I have had health difficulties since February of 2014. I have been in and out of the hospital for falling when I stand up.(7 days in the hospital and one month recovery at home) I had my fifth toe on my right foot amputated in August after it blew up ( two weeks in the hospital two months recovery) November I was admitted to a mental health clinic for depression ( 8 days in the hospital and daily recovery. February 6th this year I had a heart attack that required emergency surgery to put a stent in. ( I am recovering now and have thirteen more days before I can drive or get excited. I had chest pains radiating into my left arm on Tuesday 24 February, was hospitalized for 2 1/2 days.
There had been no indication that I was having problems with my heart, now that I have solace and alone time, I can work on the story I was writing.
My health problems are not due to genetics but to contact with a defoliant called Agent Orange. I am slowly deteriorating.
I came back to this site because it gives me hope and happiness. I can relate to others for who I am and I have some friends here I haven't said hi to.

There is hope.
I know many people that have survived major heartattacks, and gone on to live for several more years.
The key is their attitude. If you let yourself get depressed, or stressed out, you will likely die sooner, rather than later. You have to remain calm and do your best to enjoy life. That is the best approach to handle the situation.
Lost a coworker and friend 2 years ago.
Had a co-worker who was a crotchedy old goat but he was a great guy. He had been a marine in Vietnam and Cambodia or Laos during that era. He was an interesting personallity and would look out for anyone he viewed as a person he liked. And if you took care of him he watched out for you as well. He never went to the Doctor, he would rarely if ever go to the VA for medical help. And when he was in pain for too long he went and got checked out, he was diagnosed with state 4 cancer in his brain, multiple bone sites, and his liver. He started Radiation and Chemo-Therapy he was going to fight to the bitter end. He went on medical leave at work, and would be driven up to say hi by his wife every so often, I watched him loose a lot of weight, and shrink before my Eyes. HE deteriated further and was put in the hospital he died 3 days later. So fight and stay with us as long as you can. people of the older generations are leaving us every day and many of you still have a lot to contribute to the world so hange in ther. Oh and love the Stories you co-wrote as well.

My Bucket list has one item
I decided that I only needed one item on my bucket list and that is to live forever (so far so good). I have a healthy attitude about what is going on with me. I am one of those who is aware of their illnesses and their medications. I m compliant with taking medications and doing what the doctor wants me to do. In my lifetime I have survived nine near death experiences. None of them have depressed me. People who put me down depress me, I was an abused child. I refuse to be told what I must be and what I cannot be, especially by those who have never walked a mile in my moccasins.
