Only two miles from our'ouse. Beautiful setting but sadly it was severely damaged by fire in the nineteen fifties and it is only being restored very, very slowly as money becomes available.

Helen and I walk in the park every week and she has declared she want's her ashes scattered to the wind from the top of the hills behind the castle. We've agreed the exact spot The rest of the family would like her ashes interred but she's adamant, and I'll respect her wish. It won't make me popular with the rest of the family but she always was a free spirit and a keen traveller.

She says the wind is hers to travel on for free.
