Your writing style is like speed reading as it doesn't give the reader much time to bond with story characters. Yet, this style keeps me on my toes and limits my forecasting what is likely to happen next. Every time Tuck has been caught out (Mike, Gordon, and Mom) was unexpected, at least in the short term, and therefore as much a shock to me as maybe to Tuck.
