Today at church, I was asked to help with the communion service, and it was a good experience. We were given these sashes, then we went down to the front to hold out the bread and the wine for the congregation to come down and partake.

Best part? They gave me a sash with a butterfly on it ....

If my arithmetic's correct you would have been about 3 when this came out. It bombed, even in the UK, but it's still a lovely song.

(The band's more famous for their cover of the Beatles' Ob-la-di Ob-la-da which got to number 1 here.)

I was guessing the youtube link was gonna be Cousin Caterpillar by the Incredible String Band
who started out about then (also from Scotland), but were more of an acquired taste...
They played at WOODSTOCK and were filmed but got left out of the movie somehow.
Despite the dippy chorus this is a great song about transformation/rebirth.

They were a very acquired taste! Luckily I acquired it.

The scorching hot summer of 1976. Dawn sunbathing nude on the verandah at the top of the house. The rest of us smoking, drinking and grooving on the lawn. Someone playing this track over and over again. For a few short weeks, to be young was indeed heaven.
