My church made me cry today. They said they were going to hand out a small present to all the WOMEN in attendance, and gave out carnations.
Guess who got one?
Me.
I wept.

Sweet!
There are nice people in the world.
Oddities
I know I'm odd in that I actively work to accept people as they want to be and not as visual clues might dictate, but it seems you have begun to expect the worst of people. Not all religious people are as intolerant as the ones that make the news in the US. Quite a few that I have met seem to have taken to heart Ghandi's statement about Christians ('I like your Christ, but I don't like your Christians. They are so unlike Christ') and try to be like Christ. That is, like me, they seek to accept people and truly "love thy neighbor" like Christ did instead of seeking to persecute and exclude like so many others.
Ahhh...
I feel so happy for you.
Here is hoping you, keep getting beautiful flowers in the future.
I think we all think of you as a lady, too.
So, the world is with you. All the love to you Dorthy.

If only.......
Everyone we meet could be as thoughtful, the world would be a much nicer place to be. It must have been such a special moment in your life. If it were me, I would press that flower and keep it forever - it represents a truly lovely memory for you.
Just so you know, I am soooooooo jealous!

save it
Just put it where you will see it every morning that you wake up. It will make your day glorious even if you might feel down just before you wake up.
