Better Advertising
yes, that is true. Publicity is good. But a) you are advertising it at the place where you readers are already looking for it... So maybe next time, try advertising it on G+, twitter and Facebook in hopes of bringing in new readers... and b) you did nothing to advertise the story except say there is a new story. That would be like me announcing that i'm building a new site, but not giving you any idea what that site was, or why it's good.
