Many, many thanks to Piper for about 14 hours of hard work! We are up and running on a different server. Now all we have to do is acquire a new server to replace poor Magda and go through this again! No, wait...

Site is working mostly normal for me... so far --GRIN --

Some of the look-up functions -- authors links to their pages -- or trying to go to a story page or load the printer friendly version of a story don't always work but so far so good.

What's the verdict on a new, more capable server, new or reconditioned?

IE the likely FULL cost -- parts, installation and so on -- and how soon?

Inquiring minds want to know.

P.S Posting this comment seemed to work pretty much as normal.

The meltdown on Sunday prevented me from working up all the numbers to present for what we need. And now we know more about that!

Hope to have something up tomorrow. I'm pooped, and mostly I just tasted things when Piper said, "Test this." :)

Hugs,
Erin
