I phoned the doctor's office about the stuff they were supposed to send to the gender specialist, and they dont have any record of the stuff at all. Nothing in my file except I came in for a full work-up, nothing else.
I honestly dont know what to do now.
My best option I think is to get the stuff from the gender doc again, go to a different doctor and go through the whole thing again, but considering I suffered a week of flashbacks after the last time, I would rather not.
This.... sucks.

Don't they have any entry at all in your records about everything you are going through and trying to do? Do you have any records about who you talked to that would indicate who should have done something?

Dear Dottie,
What about your therapist? Would she/he have records or communications with the gender doc? It seems that your therapist would be the one to know the most about you, like how definitely you are gender dysphoric or the like.
Try to be good to yourself, it's not your fault, try to relax and have some fun (in between working and tearing your hair out over this beaurocratic screw-up!)

Dorothy Dear - Do I remember correctly that the doc who was to send on the required info was your GP? Since he would not have done all the tests personally - they would have been done by some laboratory which should have copies of every test they performed. If he has not keep notes of his physical examination, that I assume he would have performed, he may be in breech of his professional obligations & you could file a complaint with the provincial college of physicians. A OBGYN at a local hospital didn't keep his paper work up to date & he has been suspended for several months & fined thousands of dollars. It is possible that your provincial association may also take a serious view of his failure to keep records & require your doctor to do the work necessary to give you what you are entitled to.
Due to many different health problems, I always make sure to obtain copies of any tests done on me - preferably from the testing source - I volunteer to take the results to my doctor & save them the trouble to send them on & if they do not give me 2 copies, I pass by my photocopier & do the necessary.
One of the 5 letters Dr. Brassard demanded was an opinion from my GP on my ability to withstand the rigours of the operation. When I went to see the GP, it was the first time he found out that I was in transition & only a few months from having surgery. I had visited his nurse when making the appointment & suggested we give him a heads up on what was going on BUT she declined saying something like it would do him good to get a shock!! The blood tests results & copy of the ECG were supplied from my file from when my cardiologist requested them. He was nonplussed about the whole affair.
