Yeah! 20 years ago today, I was having GRS done by Dr. Stanley Biber at Mount San Rafael Hospital in Trinidad Colorado. This time of day, too.

I've never regretted my surgery even once, even when I was extremely depressed and suicidal. Just feeling my vulva and vagina while doing other things gives me a little boost of happiness. Of course I had "Gender Euphoria" for quite a while post op. I healed pretty well, but got an infection after 5 or 6 weeks; that went away quickly with some antibiotics. With the high estrogen level I was taking, I had been crushing on a guy at work. He was a nice guy, tall, younger, married and a friend and thought my crush was humorous. After I healed up, I was still interested in guys and thought that it would be good if one could do my dilation for me.

It was a surprising and gratifying new thing for me to flirt with guys and have them flirt with me or just show their attraction. I'd been uncomfortable with all but the most mellow, non-aggressive guys, and stressed out by the tough and/or powerful ones when they got aggressive or angry. Now, they liked me!

I had wanted to join a tall peoples club for a long time, about 6 years, before I decided to transition. Their rules are 5' 10' or more for wimyn and 6' 2'' or more for men. Before HRT, I was 6 foot tall; I obviously didn't want to and couldn't join the club as a guy. I found out where the next meeting was. I was measured and had to wait for a vote to let me join; also waiting was a handsome tall club member from Tucson. We talked and flirted, we decided to go out to dinner; I drove to a restaurant, but it was closed that day. I asked him to dinner at my house and within seconds we were making out full blast. We went home and had the best time ever in my life. He was well experienced and skilled with excellent endurance and resilience; I was more sensitive and orgasmic than anyone else he'd had. I didn't know what I was doing, when to grip and when to release, but I'd been stretching (muscles and tendons beside my vag) and could put my legs out, lying on my back, at about a 160 ° angle and each flat on the bed. He liked it, too! I then fed him some spaghetti with (partially) home made sauce. He slept over and we went out for a while.

What are your reactions to any surgery to make your body more like your brain's gender? How do you think you'd feel if you had some change in how you are now, if you've had no ops?
