Yup, im sure you have it all wrong :P

Now, i'll be honest and say that I personally have not read this series, because im not a fan of reality-type stories. Now your story may not be this type, but the lack of genre tags lead me to belive so. But I am just one person... i know there are many who enjoy this type of writting and have seen quite a few who dislike the story types i personally enjoy (magic, sci-fi, fantasy)and even go as far as bash the popular Ret-Con asking for reality stories!

Now about the lack of comments... well, we dont always comment on long-running stories because after the first few chapters all the _great story!_ comments get repetitive, so we dont comment to allow others to make solid points. This doesnt mean that we stopped enjoying the story, only that we cant think of anything to add. At least this is the way *I* am, of course i cant speak for others.

It is tough as an author to deal with the impact of posting something that you have worked hard on. You want it to be a huge hit with everyone and have a million people reading the story and raving about how good it is. When that doesn't happen, it hurts. Others have said you need to write for yourself, and this is true. As an author though, I know you post to get others to justify if what you wrote is good or not.

After years of posting stories on the web, I have learned that short stories get more reads than long ones. Long stories though, are often viewed in higher regard than short ones. With the long stories, you will get less and less reads as the story goes on. Some get tired of the story. Some find it just isn't going the way they like their stories to go. Some have trouble keeping on top of the story when there is so long between posts. I know as a reader, I prefer to read a story once it is complete or almost complete. I struggle with keeping track of which stories I am part way through and which I didn't like for one reason or another. If I don't visit the site for a few days since the last chapter was posted, I might miss that it was posted. Oh and cliff hangers. I love writing them, but as a reader I hate waiting to see what will happen. There are a lot of reasons to encourage me to wait till a story is done or almost before reading it.

I will admit this story has caught my attention, but I have not read it yet. It is one I thought I would be better off waiting till you are done posting it, then read it all at once. You are a good author Sara. Don't let a low view number discourage you. For your last chapter I think I saw 300 reads in three days. That is one hundred people a day reading it. Pretty good for a long, ongoing story. Finish the story, get it all posted, and declare it done. Do it for yourself and your characters. Do it for us readers who are waiting for you to say "The End" before we read. You are writing two stories at once, keep going and let people in time judge the story. Don't judge the future of the story based on an incomplete story post.
