Taxonomy upgrade extras:
We've added two new sets of categories, one for fiction (also story, wysiwyg, storylink) and one for blogs.
The one for fiction is called CAUTIONS and has a set of possible caution labels if you think your story needs one of them. Tell us if you think a needed CAUTION is missing.
The other is specifically for blogs and is called Blog About and is a set of topics that we have observed people often blog about. The other admins made me leave out the one for Beer, Trucks and Farting. :) I thought it was a nice balance for the one about shopping but they disagreed. LOL. (Okay, I still think that's funny.)
Hugs to all,
Erin

Beer and Trucks
A number of years ago, I made some homebrew and naturally carbonated in some five gallon 'beer balls.' It worked out pretty well. One of those balls of beer was riding around in the back of my truck (Jeep, actually) when it hit something sharp and burst. It made my Jeep smell really good, but I'm glad I didn't get pulled over. (I ended up hosing it out and leaving the back open so that it would dry.)
Sorry... no farting involved in this story.
We had something similar happen back in the 70s
We were doing homebrew in the air-conditioned room add-on to the garage. The A/C failed one day and it got hot in there. One of the five gallon jugs we used blew the cork and a beer vesuvius liberally anointed everything in the room. The carpet smelled of malt and hops for months. :)
Hugs,
Erin

I don't see the problem with shopping
At least half the population do it; that and gossiping.

Chocolate Amaretto Espresso Stout
Back when I was homebrewing, I'd make a stout with Chocolate Amaretto Coffee Beans. Talk about a wide awake drunk! People either hated it or loved it. Also did a blackberry porter when blackberries were in season.
Got the idea for the coffee stout from the first time I made stout, and ground the black patent grain; it looked like coffee grounds to me, and dad said they'd used it as a coffee erzatz in Germany during the war, so when I came across a coffee I liked, I decided to try that with the stout. This was in 1985 or thereabouts, long before anyone did this commercially that I'm aware of.
