Christmas Party - a drabble.
He had spent months planning this, he always did, the works Christmas party fancy dress competition was the highlight of his year, his one exposure of his soul and inner self each year.
He’d lost weight, spent a fortune on the costume and taken a whole day to make the transformation, he looked fabulous, the padding on his hips and chest changing his shape realistically.
No one recognised the retro air hostess as a man–won best female costume–his own personal Olympic gold medal.
On the stage, the announcer said, “Might I present the winner, Mary Christmas, to you.”
