Sometimes, I feel like God is teasing me. Something that would lead me out of my current dilemma appears, like this job offer, but as soon as I reach for it, it gets taken away, leaving me worse off than if I had had no hope to begin with. I am really struggling with anger with God at the moment. Ah, well. Guess that teaches me to hope for anything but death as a solution..

All I do is say "sod it" and carry on. It's the only rational solution.
We should say things better, but...
We say something else, but I like yours better. It just sounds more pleasant!

HOPE figures prominently in your statement
HOPE figures prominently in your statement above, and a lot of philosophers have had words to say about hope, all dependent on their way of perceiving the world. The optimist with a glass half full sees hope as a good thing. The pessimist sees hope as the great deception. You must decide if you have a glass half full or half empty. If it's half full, pull up your socks and go at it again until you make hope reality.
Hope, deceitful as it is, serves at least to lead us to the end of our lives by an agreeable route. ~François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

Hey Hon, I know things seem bad now (hell, they probably are pretty sucky!) but (okay, this is my opinion)I don't really think God is to blame. Getting angry because things didn't go your way sounds kind of childish, if you think about it. I suffer thru some pretty dark depression, especially in this past week (bad news from my Doc, my kitty died, I had SEVERAL anxiety attacks, etc.), but I know that God wants more for me, not that he put things in my path. Life sucks, sweetie. Know that I will be praying for you, though. I wish I could do more!

If I thought there really was a God...
...I'd blame Him for everything as well.
I believe that it's only when we stand up and take responsibility for our own actions, that we start to live. All the time we put responsibility and blame onto a supernatural power, we diminish ourselves.
The good and bad in this world is mostly of man's making. We can all play a minor part in making this world better or worse. Praying to someone else to take responsibility sounds a cop out to me.
Get thee behind me, God. Or perhaps I'm confusing Him with someone else. Can someone explain the difference.
I appreciate you may feel my words to be offensive - they are not meant to be, only to show the world in a different light to the one in which you have been looking.

You have a person of faith asking for comfort and encouragement
feel better now?
One step at a time
One of the things I see in your life is a need for an immediate response. God answers prayers in his time and when he knows you are ready. Adversity is a growth period for all of us. Believe me if God brough you to to it he will take you through it, have faith.
Taking ones life is not an answer it is an act of selfishness, and act of remorse and regret. What if you fail at taking your ownlife are you willing to face those consequences?
Write to people, talk to people, get out and do something positive.

It may seem cruel ...
... but maybe God sends adversity because he wants us to overcome it? After all, we can't grow strong physically without exercise ... without pushing ourselves beyond what we think we can handle. A long time ago, I realized that if there is a God, She must have a good reason for allowing bad things to happen to good people ... to all of us. And maybe that reason is to help us become MORE – to work our way past hate, and hurt, and loss, and move forward, hopefully gaining something from the experience.
It's how I cope, when life seems cruel or harsh. To know that, no matter how bad things get, there's something to be learned and something to take away when it ends -- experience that will bring me strength and hopefully wisdom when the day is done.
Be strong, hon. *soft hug* Every night has its end, and sometimes, the sunrise is so beautiful it can take your breath away.

I believe the Psalmist wrote...
