It means treat everyone like a friend. If you don't feel you can make a public post that says what you want to say without being unfriendly, then don't make the post public. Friends talk over problems in private.

Here is a bit of advice that I received at every layer of Leadership Training I received while I was an Officer in Uncle Sam's military:

Compliment in Public,
Criticize in Private.

I think that applies here as well.

I know that it might be difficult to maintain that, but the efforts you put forth are greatly appreciated by the bulk of us.

I know that at times you hate to play the role of 'bad cop', but it is necessary in order to maintain the quality and dignity of the site.

Thanks again for your determination in upholding the principles that this wonderful place were based upon.
