I created the Terry Awards to celebrate past stories. Older stories are too easily forgotten once they move on to the archives (back pages) and I think that's a terrible fate.

This batch of awards is for serials and solos only. Terry Awards for complete stories that have been posted in multiple parts will be included later in the year.

Only transgender fiction is considered, and stories are selected by highest vote totals in their category. They're also selected according to nominations. Nominated stories are put into the "Honorable Mention" categories.

I might not always give a lot of time for nominations ahead of time, but feel free to nominate even after the list has been posted.

I'm adding one new rule to my awards. I'm only including one author in any one category for each story length, no matter how many great stories an author has written. I want to make room for other authors. If someone likes a story by any one author, they can easily find other stories by that same author using the "Authors" link.

There will be no monetary prizes. This isn't really a contest. It's more of a living archive. That's how I like to think of it anyway. It's very likely that stories in the list will get more attention. That's a good thing.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I wrote a computer program to extract, sort and format stories from BCTS web pages. I used the "Serials" and "Solo" links to get the web pages, and due to circumstances beyond my control, such as inconsistent use of story tags, I wasn't able to get all of the serials and solos. I know because I remembered some serials that I've read that weren't on the list. I added what I could remember. If I've missed any serials or solos, I'm very sorry. Please let me know and I'll add them if their vote total is high enough, or they can be nominated and possibly added to the "Honorable Mention" category.

Entries within each category are sorted alphabetically by title.
