In my quest to improve myself as a woman, I watch and listen a lot; analysing the most intricate details of what they do. One thing that has just occured to me is that, for the most part, women in groups use Full Duplex communication, while men seem incapable of it. I do hope that with time I can train myself to follow what women do in that regard.
Most of the people I talk to are women and much of the time, that is in groups. It just amazes me how they can interupt each other and sometimes even anticipate what another woman will say. It seems to be an intricately poetic dance they do and the conversations rarely degenerate into competition.
Just thought I would mention it so those who are actively contemplating transition can begin to follow it.

Stop analysing and just be yourself. You're far too self-conscious, it happens when you are relaxed with others and become part of the group.

I always called it coaxial, or sometimes broadband, depending...
But not everyone is capable of it, and I've known plenty of women every bit as linear as most men. People exist on a spectrum, not sorted into neatly defined categories. Relax; be yourself. Don't worry; be happy.

... but it is more common among trans-women that they communicate in a more linear fashion. I seem to parallel process my thinking more post transition.
Anyway, I was pretty socially schtum with men or women shortly before I transitioned. Having finally come into my social 'birthright', I find, according to GG partners of CDs and trans-woman that I naturally patter like (most) any other woman does. Then again I have lived full-time for 19 years. It is a chicken or the egg question. Maybe there was a social void to be filled - kinda like a T-girl who never danced before being able to learn to follow instead of lead - and the correct social filling filled it *shrug*.

Females often seem to speak in heiroglyphics, i.e. a mental picture can be conveyed in few words. You get used to it eventually. Most have been teenage girls; the rest of us just have/had to catch up later.
