I need your help/opinion/ /thoughts/suggestions

Good Morning!

The last thing I published here was the beginning of a novel I was writing called Vacation.

Some of you read it, and I want your suggestions...

It needs a publishable title. Vacation is not going to cut it and I'm interested in hearing any suggestions you might think of.

The third part of the book is coming back from my editor soon, so it will appear within the month. That means that before I publish it to Amazon, I have to erase it here. So, if you want to see the first third of the book, read it here before it's removed.

Thank you for all your help with Vacation

I really enjoyed coming back and visiting all the intelligent, tasteful readers here at BigCloset. The last book I finished up, Taylor, was donated to this site so the proceeds could help out keeping it afloat.

Testing out a story idea like Vacation proved rewarding for me, getting lots of great ideas for maybe retooling it into a novel. I liked my characters and they started talking to me..

But, the curious thing was how many people wanted me turn Portrait into a book.

I apologize

Honestly, I messed up.

I uploaded Chapter Four and the more I looked at it realized that it was not finished. So, I took some time today to upload more to make it better

I'm sorry for the people that read it this morning and missed the second half.

Oh, well.

I could have added a "Chapter Five" but it just seemed more important to finish Chapter Four.

I'll get it all smoothed out eventually.

Constructive Criticism makes a story better

I want to acknowledge the sweet people from BigCloset who create such a dynamic mechanism for posting a story. My latest effort, Vacation, is a work in progress. I eagerly read and responded to all the comments.

But, what was especially helpful were the folks who offered constructive criticism. And because the design here lets me edit my work, I was able to redo entire passages to reflect what I learned from readers. Chapter Three is the best example of rewriting to clarify what I should have said initially.

"Collected" an IGNORED book by Leslie Moore

While The Big Books of Wildcats and Taylor and being received in such a positive light, one of my books has fallen through the cracks. I'm hoping that you will take another look at the preview pages of this Kindle book on Amazon.

Why, you ask, am I writing this blog? Well, in my mind, this was the book I worked hardest to make 'good.' It's got a great body swap, some swash-buckling characters, a nice love story, and a happy ending. It even has a talking AI.

Thanks for humoring me.

Collected: A Time Travel Story Of The Twenty-Fifth Century

Collected copy.jpg

Hey, Gang!

Collected was published this spring and Just In Case you missed it, here's another pedantic plug for Leslie Moore Industries where they're stamping out new novels every day (just as soon as we get this chimps typing again!).

Thank You

Thank you to all those people who have taken a look at Collected on Amazon. I really appreciate your time and energy. I worked really hard to make it my best work.

BTW: I am in the process of reworking Terry and the Wildcats, Wildcats 1, Wildcats 2, Wildcats 3, and Wildcats 4.

I also have a new Wildcats 5 and Wildcats 6 that will be added to the entire collection and republished as The Big Book Of Wildcats, all 1,500 pages of Wildcats. The whole thing should be up and available in September and will cost less than two books, at $4.99

I want to thank all the readers for taking the time to read the first two parts of my novella, Taylor, and offering wonderful constructive criticism on how to make it better.**

When it's finished here, I will start again and make it a complete novel before I present it to Erin and the wonderful folks at Big Closet to publish and receive all the receipts. It's my way of saying thank you to Big Closet for everything they do to promote authors.

Something New on the Horizon

Greetings!

It’s been a while. Maybe I got lost or stopped just to think things over.

I’ve had trouble finishing projects that I started, and time seemed to pass around me. But, last night, I uploaded a new book to Amazon called Collected. It should be available soon. I’ve got a novella to share here next that I hope to turn into a complete novel. If it all comes to fruition, I want to donate the money.

Peace,

Leslie

An Update

Hi, All.

I haven't blogged in a while. I've been spending my time writing.

I've got a new novel ready to publish on Amazon in January called Collected. It's a sci-fi story.

I've been working on retelling the Wildcats, starting with book one and ending with book six. Book five and book six are new. I just finished my first draft and it's 360,000 words. I've rewritten the story trying to smooth out the entire epic. It will be published in 2020.

Happy Holidays,

LM

Just Venting About An Amazon Review

Just a brief vent and maybe an update...

Here's my vent. First, I appreciate all the people who take the time to review Leslie Moore books. I read each one and try to learn. But sometimes, I get confused. Here's an example

Kindle Customer
4.0 out of 5 stars

"It's more about Jesica herself and not her adventures"
June 27, 2019
Format: Kindle Edition
Overall it was a good read but I have some minor criticisms.

Artificial Intelligence and Some Questions For Y'all

I’m working on NeverWorld, a sci-fi future story and I’m trying to design an Artificial Intelligence that would narrate part of my story and be the one who runs NeverWorld, an alternative interactive world.

I've written down some questions and hoping to start a discussion here, if anyone has the time. Here are my thoughts.

Dealing with the dark side

A discussion inside Wildcats 4 has touched on a topic that I thought others might want to weigh in and share their opinion.

The topic of whether a young adult novel should deal with a harsh or a gentle reality. The thought that dealing with sex, drugs, and violence should be dealt with or avoided so as not to become an influencer (love that word, BTW).

How do you approach these topics knowing full well that kids read coming of age stories and use them as bibliotherapy (look that one up)?

Jessica Jade - Metamorphosis is on Amazon

Finally, as they pried the last manuscript from my stiff, swollen fingers, I cried out! "Please let me look through it one more time, I know I can make it better!"

But, to my chagrin, they took it away and posted it on Amazon

Here's a link. Order it here and BigCloset gets a few pennies. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LDW3G8D/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=...

Technical Gaps Need Filling

I’d like to chat with a few folks who have a sense/knowledge/expertise in creating gaming environments. I’m not creating one, just writing a story.

I need help with the technical stuff, terms, jargon, etc for a new SciFi story I’m working on called NeverWorld.

I’m also looking for someone who can help me with the Japanese anime, manga, hentai world, too.

Copy. Cure. Second Edition is available!

I just wanted to announce that Amazon approved sending email notices to all of you who had purchased "Copy. Cure. - a Nanotechnology Adventure" to get a free copy of the second edition.

I listened to what my reviewers said, (except the one who equated me with porn!) and went back and reworked the whole text to reflect a smoother, less redundant tale. It's still chock full (whatever that means!) of an interesting story with better flow and description. I've tried my best to eliminate the road bumps. I hope if you bought a copy, you'll download your free updated copy.

Copy Cure Cover.jpg

Last year, I uploaded a story here called 'Nanites' (27,000 words). After it ran, I received excellent constructive criticism from our readers. I rewrote it and made it a novel (70,000 words). It just went up on Amazon today and I am very proud of it.

Metamorphosis - A Jessica Jade Story

Thank you to all the readers and future readers who are peeking in on Metamorphosis - A Jessica Jade Story. I appreciate all the comments and messages you are sending me as I post two chapters a week.

I appreciate Erin making BigCloset a writer's showcase to present new works. It's giving me an opportunity to hear great feedback and wonderful constructive criticism from many talented writers and fans.

Blog Entries - from the heart versus Blatant Commercial Propaganda

Okay, so don't get me wrong. I'm not taking a side here and I don't know how many people actually read the blogs. (Is there a counter somewhere?)

But, here's a money generating scheme to shore up BigCloset.

Need some advice

I got carried away.

I posted Wildcats Prequel Chapter 4 last week and got so excited on how neat it looked that I posted Wildcats Prequel 5. I thought it would be cool to give the readers a “Two For One” to celebrate Memorial Day.

I didn’t realize a BigCloset rule is that’s a no-no. I talked to Erin and she tried to intervene but the Rule God’s won.

So, half the readers missed chapter four. I feel bad. Ant suggestions besides, “Give me a break, just get over it!”

Happy Memorial Day

My Best Wishes go out to all who have served or are serving. My Best Wishes go out to all first responders or former first responders. My Best Wishes go out to all who have taught, counseled, or cared for our children, now or in the past.

I was posting another chapter of Wildcats Prequel today and decided since we have a long weekend ahead to post another chapter, too.

I hope you are enjoying the new story and are looking forward to Wildcats 3 coming out as another Kindle Book in June.

Where in the World is Leslie Moore?

Since no one asked, I thought I'd bring it up. The answer is very simple. I have been working on a new novel and it's pretty close to finished. The working title is "Metamorphosis - A Jessica Jade Story".

If you read the Wildcats, published one chapter at a time on BigCloset last year and now available on Amazon, we meet Jessica in what is now Book 3, coming soon to Amazon. (If you haven't read Wildcats, this new novel will still hopefully make sense and entertain.)
