The authors of this site go to a great deal of trouble to provide stories to entertain you, the readers. If you disagree with something, or find a story lacking in some way, the worst thing you can do is to "OUT" the author who has taken a great deal of time to produce a tale for your delectation.

Those of you awaiting the next chapter (22) of At Aunt Greta's can rest assured that it is on the way and should be posted in a few days, after it has been checked by Bonzi and his Mum to be free of naughty words that might upset the kiddiwinkies, who probably know them better than I.

Today, 30th November, is St Andrew's Day. St Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland, when we Scots eat haggis neeps and tatties with a dram of whisky poured over them as gravy, wear the kilt and play bagpipes.

Edeyn, please note for next year.

A TG Limerick

Resulting from a comment made by Geoff on the latest Aunt Greta-sode, I was enthroned on the loo this morning when my somewhat over-active–for so early in the day–braincells came up with a TG Limerick.

Blighter's Rock

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

For those of you awaiting the next AuntieGretasode, I owe an apology; I am suffering from that occasional Author's Curse, Blighter's Rock, or more correctly Writer's Block. This is something that happens to me from time to time and is caused by a break in the connection between my characters who tell me what to write and myself.

When Sarah Palin and her husband named their daughter Bristol they obviously did not know that Bristol is the Cockney (London) rhyming slang for "Titty" coming from the football (soccer) team Bristol City.

Paula Nickerson, who was introduced in Chapter 11 as Kristal Ball's best friend, has a different Christian name. Paula seemed rather dull for this particular girl, and I was wondering if she should be called Eva instead, when suddenly inspiration struck!

I just thought I'd warn you that a new episode of the Aunt Greta Saga, called

Ordeal By Plonker

will be posted very soon–probably tomorrow. Watch out for even more outrageously-named characters! Sorry it has been over a week since the last one, but other things have been pressing.

The Midweek programme at 9.00am on BBC Radio 4 this morning, there was a piece that will be of interest to Top Shelf readers. It is about two friends, Richard and Andrew; Richard is a writer and Drew was working in the engine room of a P&O Ferry, and they were old friends, taking biker holidays together. Drew, who was married with kids then told Richard that he Transgendered and was going to have SRS.

Thank You! Aunt Greta's Homework tops 2500!

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

The first Aunt Greta episode has now topped the 2.5K reads and I just want to thank all those of you who have read my inconsequential scribblings. It seems that Aunt Great and her niece/nephew (a NIEPHEW or NIECEPHEW perhaps?) has found a certain following.

The sixth episode is well in hand and should be posted in a few days.
