I Hope You Didn't...
I hope what you said didn't include the phrase 'it's bigger on the inside than the outside'. I'd have squealed at that, fangirl or not!
Bigger on the inside is not funny.
I've made that observation years before I heard anything about Tardis.
And yes, it was observation about girl's purse :-) Typical girls purse contains: two nearest cosmethics stores, half of the accessories store, two (2) bricks (red angular objects you use to build houses), 3 to 7 sets of keys on funny keyrings, two active mobile phones and several forgotten vintage mobile phones. Also assortment of bobs and ends to fill it to it's full 150 pound capacity :-)
Mothers purse
There is an addendum to that. If the woman carrying the purse is a mother, it also carries a package of diapers, 2+ pacifiers, a bottle of milk, multiple rattles and other toys, a medium sized stuffed animal, two complete changes of clothes for the baby, and a clean blouse for the mother. (Note that it doesn't matter how old the child the is, this is all left from when she was an infant.)
BTW I am not going to mention that it is bigger on the inside, because it's pretty obvious, isn't it?

Then mine resembles a Tardis on two counts. The obvious one about being bigger on the inside than the outside and consequent contents list, the second is the gravity defiance. My handbag weighs a ton cos of all the stuff and yet it never seems to become too heavy. (Though I've had some girls describe it (my hand-bag) as 'a scaffold bag') LOL.

Well, carpet bags ARE TARDISs in actuality. Holds mirrors, can help you travel around, fly, pull out just what you need. Ergo, Mary Poppins is the "John Smith" of the Time Lady named "The Nanny". Just as a certain bus is also a TARDIS of the Time Lady named "The Teacher".
