I am in serious crisis. my car's bumper finally fell off, and in a panic I went to my dealership and got talked into a new car, and honestly, its more a month than I think I can handle. I dont know what to do. I signed the paperwork, I'm committed, and I'm close to calling a crisis line ....

Alternative loans?
The last time I bought a car on credit, I had to sign a loan contract with the dealer, but I could then go out and get my own loan elsewhere, and cancel that loan. Which is what I did, through a credit union, which gave me much better terms. Maybe you can do the same?

What paperwork did you actually sign?
You can sign a lot of paperwork at a dealership. What did you actually sign and did you take actual delivery of the vehicle? I had a similar situation once and at least here in Texas as long as you didn't sign the finance contract and take actual delivery of the vehicle, you can walk away. In my case they were searching for a vehicle that met my requirements and had not actually found one even though they had possession of my trade and I was driving a loaner vehicle.

Call the Better Business Bureau
Different states have different rules, so while you're getting good advice as to rules that are available around the country, we don't necessarily know what yours are. Call someone who does. The BBB can often help you out, and they're free. Even if, in your state, they can't give legal advice, they can probably point you to someone who can. Obviously, the sooner you do this, the better.

If you have it, take it back
If you've taken delivery of the car, simply drive it back to the dealership and tell them you've made a mistake. If they won't take it back and cancel the deal. Contact the finance company who has the contract and tell them you want to turn it in for collection. The worst thing that will happen is your credit rating will take a hit.
I purposely live without credit. It does wonders when people get pushy with what I should buy. I stopped by the bank because of some trouble with my debit card and they had me talk to a nice young lady who was determined that I needed one of those "cash back" credit cards. After I told three time that I don't do credit and she was still insistent, I told her to run me through the credit bureau and she did and stopped talking and dealt with my original problem.
