Regretfully it isn't uncommon. People are often not all they seem. But equally you cannot know what is going throug their head as they cannot know what is going through yours.

I was there at one one point in my life, years ago. Believe me (us), you are a very precious and wonderful human being. You are unique in all the world and no-one is better at being you than you. And you're a good writer. I'm sure there are many of us that would be happy to give you a hug if we were there with right now, I know I would. It still hurts a lot but
The extreme thoughts I was having are still there but they are less prominent now compared to the rest of them, unfortunately I can't avoid this person.
