What a difference a night makes
Oh good. Sounds like you have a good supervisor, who knows how to help people do good work- and what NOT to do, motivation-wise, as well.
I had a great boss like that, last job I had- made it so I wanted to work my butt off to show how good I was, so he'd keep me around. Alas, we changed systems several times and after the last change, they automated so much they laid me off. Still, he was nice even when he had to let me go.
May you last long where you are, as long as it feeds your belly and your soul both. If it comes to a point where it doesn't do both, look for other work that will. My .02 Zorkmids' worth.
I'm happy for you

Supervisors are funny...
Once I thought my boss was liking me as he and others complimented me. Then I got fired.
Another supervisor... I thought hated me... then I got a raise in salary.
So... don't put a lot of meaning into supervisor's actions. Just do your best. Supervisors are busy people. They tend to overlook important stuff, but notice minor things.
And don't beat yourself over small mistakes. Mistakes show that you are still not a part of the Borg collective :-)
