Cleaning house, I stumbled upon some old records that show I have a Cyst on the right frontal lobe of my brain that was detected in 2012. I'm seeing my health care provider on Tuesday, and am mildly frightened. Do these things turn into something more serious? The internet is frightening the hell out of me.

The internet is full of people which use fear to make money off of other people. They post a frightening or sensationalist headline with a link button below of it. If I see such things I just don't follow the links. It made my life much more peacefull. One good source of information is usually wikipedia.

If you must research medical matters on line try the mayo clinic's web site or web md. I find both more useful for understanding and implementing what my doctor has told me than for diagnosis.

If you've had it 10 years, it's likely to not be a growing cyst. That's the only real issue with cysts, is their growth. Even tumors aren't necessarily an issue. I have tumors all over my body, specifically my right side. The people studying them (not many) have zero cases of them going cancerous - they're just painful. They're attached to the pilar erectile tissue, and that's really all they know.
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

I have growths on both sides of my brain... the one on my pituitary gland is noncancerous, while the other one has yet to be determined.
