I'm struggling with a sense of being worthless. I'd appreciate any encouragement I can get.

Illogical

as Mr. Spock would say. How could anyone who is held in such high esteem on this site be worthless? If you want to know only fraction of your worth you have only to count the people here you have helped.

you n me

Sorry

You are one of the top writers at BC! Are you going through a tough writing time or perhaps a medical issue? I know I used to have those kinds of times when I was working (I'm retired now).
Best wishes, and what else can I say except I look forward to more of your wonderful stories.

Depression

can be a bitch. Trust me, I know that's why I write. It gets my mind off how I feel inside some days. Plus, I know what its like to feel worthless as well. I see a lot of my friends and family that are working and doing things I'll never get a chance to do. It's been three years now as of tomorrow, that I haven't been employed. God knows, I have sent out over three hundred resume and had a few people I trust rework my resume to make it look simple, like I have no skills or make it look attractive enough to be seen. However, no matter what I do, I feel its not enough. so, I understand feeling worthless. The thing is, is not letting it get you down. There are a lot of wonderful people here who care about you and will miss you if something happens.
Just hang in there and if you need someone to talk with. I'm normally around.

Help others

A good medicine for depression is helping others. Go back to what you do well, encouraging others,

A fan of your writing ...

Well, I have a computer that is 'new' to BCTS, and I wanted to get it 'bookmarked in' to BCTS. So I googled bcts and >you<.

You have no idea how much I have enjoyed your stories (OK, a few are a tad grim :( ). I'm more or less systematically going thru all of your writing
