I had a fantastic day with my daughter today. We went to West Edmonton Mall, walked around, talked of fashion, makeup, and shoes, and she was totally comfortable with both the conversation and my feminine wardrobe.
I am so blessed ...

*HUGGLES of joy*

Happiness...
...can be fleeting, and joy is a treasure. I am so happy that you have been blessed with a child who can accept you.
Cherish these moments, and know that they serve to inspire others whose days may not seem as bright.
Be kind to those who are unkind, tolerant toward those who treat you with intolerance, loving to those who withhold their love, and always smile through the pains of life.
Kids... No matter how old
Kids... No matter how old they are they make our time a life.
Gotta love it
It's great when your children can accept you for who you are.
My oldest, now 46, had a lot of problems with me when she was growing up. I personally believe it wasn't so much my cross-dressing as it was my otherwise conservative approach to parenting and her being a strong willed child.
While my youngest never expressed any problem with her dad expressing his feminine side, is now at 41 concerned that it not become common knowledge to her children and husband. She and I have always had a good relationship.
But back to the oldest. Last year she ran into a problem where she was living (Arizona) and became homeless through no fault of her own. We flew her home for a seven month stay while the problem worked itself out.
While she was here, she and I established a good rapport. One Saturday when I announced I was going shopping at the mall, she said she wanted to go with me, because she needed to pick up some underwear. When I told her that she'd be welcome, but that she needed to know I was going en femme, she said that was OK with her. We went out, stopped a Ruby Tuesday's for lunch, and spent the afternoon crawling the mall. All in all, she went to the mall with me three times and grocery shopping at least six times, all while I was en femme. I have to say that those time were among the most enjoyable times I've ever spent with her. The only problem was that no matter how I was dressed, she couldn't break herself from calling me "Dad" out loud.
BTW, she took the picture (above) that appear with my posts.
