Well, I have learned that no matter how bad things get, I can always make them worse with a little not thinking.

I managed to lose my wallet Monday, and spent yesterday hitting catch-22 after catch-22 trying to get replacements for my driver's licence, so I cant go to work tonight.

I know this too will pass, but darn it, I really didn't need to make things more difficult right now.

I feel your pain - kinda

I lost my wallet too: on Saturday I was at a movie theatre (The Martian: Save Ferri- I mean, Save Matt! Again!) and when I got home, no wallet. And the theatre was closed. And I didn't even know for sure that it had fallen out of my purse there... O.o

I had my purse stolen years ago, and it all came back: two days of no sleep, obsessive mental organizing and worrying and remembering which IDs I had to get first, and where, and the paperwork, and stupid little fees... and I had to wait till Monday afternoon to get through to the theatre on the phone - and they had found it!!

It's a HUGE bother, and scary and angering and it hurts.

It will pass, but I feel your pain.

Also Lost Wallet

I was fishing one day in a fourteen-foot boat and accidentally dropped my wallet into the lake.

Much to my surprise an Asian carp picked up my wallet and flicked it over the boat to another Asian carp who swallowed it.

I reported my loss to the DMV in order to get a new driver's license. The DMV clerk told me it was the first case of carp-to-carp walleting she'd ever heard of.

Sorry . . . hope that makes you smile a bit.
