Jezzi-
This is about the best stuff I've ever seen done with captions! The slight modifications to the text & artwork feel almost seamless (is that COMIC SANS font?)....... For some reason the lurid colors and halftone graininess of comic book art has always appealed to me on some primitive level, like a magpie is drawn to shiny baubles; and some of the compositions here are really good, blurring the distinction---if there really is one--- between "high art" and "low art"...... The 1950's & 60's clothes & hair- it's like a day spent visiting antique shops, only I didn't spend a bunch of money on things I probably didn't need (once I bought a lamp made out of a stuffed racoon with a clock in its belly, now let's never speak of it again)..... These melodramatic vignettes are stories in themselves, and some of them you've made rilly rilly funny, playing off the cliches of several types of t.g. fiction, while others are sweetly wistful tableaus of wish-fulfillment. Entertaining and worth the wait, while (I guess) the technical stuff was being worked out. Fun!

I laughed cover and cover again

Jezzi, there a whole universe in these covers. The only problem is that the story is always effectively told in the cover itself. Words would largely be superfluous!

Very clever and evocative.

Thanks for a very entertaining browse in a fantasy bookstore.

Hugs,

Fleurie
